The Endzone Garden Thread

Well, yay. I am now providing drinking water to squirrels, in hopes that they will leave the tomatoes alone.

Worth a try.

I can testify that they know the difference between red and green tomatoes. 😡
My Uncle (RIP) was quite the gardener. The man could grow anything. He worked in one of UT's AG Labs in Oak Ridge for a LOOOOONG time.

To keep the deer off his ocra, beans, and various fruits, he'd dust them with powdered lime. It may work on squirrels too, but not sure.

Have you tried putting one of those plastic owls on a post outside?

My brother's greenhouse is "built in" to one end of their garden. He leaves a radio on 24/7 on talk radio. the human voices keeps the critters out.

Had to fight the bugs that were cutting off leaves and blooms, but my ghost pepper and Carolina reaper are finally starting to come in.

Lol, you suck.

Seriously. I have a question, no, 3.

Did you start those from seed or buy the plants?

If you started from seed where did you get the seeds and when did you plant them?

Your answers will confirm whether or not I'm cursed. Or just suck, which is most likely.

I should have repotted them already but because of my new "job" I haven't taken the time. The roots are just now beginning to come out of the bottom of the cups so it's not a big deal. They're really healthy and the roots are strong, but it's been a struggle.

The red women’s first purple pepper
@Behr. She starts them From seed and plants then when they’re about an inch tall. View attachment 384507
I grew purples last year. They were productive summer through fall. This year, only red bells from seed - started indoors this past December and transplanted in April. None have reached red - the missus has me harvesting them green for immediate use. 🤪

Bought plants. Ran across the. at the local farmers co-op.

These that I'm growing say harvest is about 150-180 days. They seem to be more sensitive than most peppers. I've got some bells that I planted from seed the same day and they are 2 ft tall and have small peppers. They like the heat but "full sun" doesn't mean full sun in Florida.

A plant "expert" said I've probably "loved them to death" and should chill. I hope to repot them into 3 gallon containers soon and take them from the grow lamps to outside. I've been hardening them for a week now and they stay outside pretty all the time now.

It is august which means that it is time to pick peaches. Grabbed about 30 of them yesterday.
