vol fans are predicting Tennessee to get beat by Oregon is ridiculous. The game hasn't been played last i checked and we can win every game we play, at least that is what i believe if you don't then don't watch the games. I don't like people that sit there and tell me we are gonna lose a football game. It makes me very angry to the point i want to knock their teeth out.(Though i refrain from doing so. Cause i ain't dumb, New Teeth are expensive). This is Tennessee we play to win, not to listen to our fans chalk up a loss before we even board the plane to head to the game. If you call your self a realist that's great, me i believe we can do it til proven otherwise. GO VOLS!!! Cut Em', Jack!!

Just kidding. I hear ya, man. I think we all just have a defeatist mentality around here because its been about 5 years since we pulled off a legit upset win.

There's a point that's disrespect and a point that's just the scale.

The 2 best teams in the country right now are Bama and Oregon. We are not on that level. The scale is different so predicting a loss is understandable.

yes a college team can beat a pro team, it's all about heart, pride and passion, and coaching which some nfl teams don't have much of all they care about is $$$.

Just because a vol fan predicts the vols to lose, does not make him any less of a fan. In fact, given that the said fan still cheers for the team even though he thinks they will lose makes him more of a fan by definition than someone who routes for the vols only based on the assumption that they will win. Ever think of it that way?

You do realize that an NFL team has 53 professionals on it and an elite college team only has a handful of them, right?

yeah you might have a point there, but i cheer for the vols win or lose, but predicting they lose is just not the way i think a fan should act. Dooley did that while coaching here and look what happened. Butch demands wins and perfection and we are heading in the right direction.
