The Florida Postgame Report

Thanks for the postgame report. Yet another game I had to DVR. I think every game that I have DVR'd and not seen live we have won. I think I need to continue that trend.

How was Golden? I saw that he only had 2 points in the 1st half and I didn't think that was good. He only scored 9 points and McRae was the only one in double figures. I never would've thought we would win with only one player in double figures with the way Fla scores.

Huge win. I haven't said a word about the tourney and I'm not going to start now. Just keep winning and it will take care of itself.

Golden forced some things in the first half. Still has a score first mentality when the easy pass is there on the break. Settled down and played solid in the second half. Hit a big 3.

Stokes is a freaking man. Still needs to polish his offense but is unbelievable on boards. Got a break by going 7 minutes late in a game without a FG and still won. They played great defense and UF did miss a couple open shots. Great timeout and set play by Coach late. He coached a hell if a game.

I'd like to give a big F U to ESPN. They try and cram back-to-back games into their programming and almost half of the 1st half wasn't even shown on ESPN because of the Indiana-Minnesota game. Hell, almost every game is 2 hrs and 15 min and rarely do they end right at 2 hrs. I wish I could get that first 7-8 min back on the DVR.

My brother has been screaming this for years but for football. They schedule football games for 3 hours and lead right into another. How many SEC games have gone just 3 hours? It is all about cramming in as many as you can for ratings. Kind of silly though.

Thx. I figured Golden may force some. He did in the A & M game at times. Golden only had 2 assists, but it appears the entire team shared the ball. We had 14 assists and only 9 turnovers.

I saw Stokes only had 8 points, but he also had 14 boards. Unreal.

Who was Wilbekin guarding?

D@mn fine win tonight and we are building a great resume. Hate to be a buzzkill but hope our guys do not get too full of themselves. We have to keep attacking the rim and playing all out every night. No letdowns for the next 3 games. GO MFVOLS!!!!

The best thing about tonight..... We beat a top 10 team and I don't think we played all that great. We were pretty sluggish on O and stokes got in foul trouble, yet we still won. Great sign.

Also, Kenny hall got embarrassed a few times inside on D.

I wish we could put his offensive game (when he plays) into Yemi's body. Yemi missed that layup wide open, next play, exact same one, Kenny two hand slammed it. That's what you do when you're 6'5+.

i love how mid-way through the second half we went completely cold but our defense didnt let up. Very happy for the boys. Great game.

Midway through the second half to the end of the game might have been the most physical game of basketball I've seen all year. And they let them play to. In fact I thought it almost got out of hand a couple of times

If I remember correctly it was Jordan usually.

He guarded McRae, at least for most of the first half (when McRae was ballin :)). I think he guarded Golden some as well.

This point of the game was absolutely essential. We could have given up points and gone in the hole.

The Vols played through their cold stretch and locked down the D.

This was the point when I knew we were playing for the win.

I was assured by none other than GatorsGators that Wilbekin was an outstanding perimeter defender and is a better defender than Yeguete who is out with an injury. I stated that Yeguete being out is tough for Fla because he does all the dirty work that doesn't necessarily go noticed by the common fan.

If Wilbekin was on McRae, well, then I'm just LMFAO.
