Still seems to be a lot of posturing. US imposes new tariffs but relents on goods in transit. Basically allows a two week window. China retaliates however says its holding off till June 1. If either was right now serious about imposing these sanctions they’d be applied now.

The market seems like a pulled back rubber band waiting for the “release” on the trade deal and then it should pop up?

What are you basing this on? And even if it's true, it's not what matters. Regardless of how much either side is hurt, it's all about who can politically outlast the other side. Do we think our leaders will be able to withstand pressure from suffering Americans longer than the leaders of an authoritarian state?
