I've had good luck with appliances in general. Not sure if I ever owned a Whirlpool, but I always thought it was a cool name.

That's a pretty mild claim, basically saying things were in good shape when he left, and it didn't take a turnaround miracle to get where we are now.

At any rate I think the previous president's economic shadow lasts a year or so after he leaves, and then it disappears.

Of course if the economy is really messed up, it may take longer than a year to recover.
