I'm just hoping we don't end up alongside UF in being a league embarrassment after our game vs Clemson. Backup QBs are such an unknown. What might be unique and maybe I'm grasping at straws here, but Milton should be very comfortable with the backup wrs who are now starters. Maybe we can put up a fight and be competitive.

I would agree. Not just for the bowl game but how we look going into next season. Will be interesting to see what kind of game plan Heupel comes up with for the bowl game and how much of the offense they continue to try to run

I don't see a reason to try and protect Milton. You give him the keys and let him run our offense. If he's not capable by now, you aren't going to see him starting next year either. Better to find out now than right after we miss out on getting portal help or have him crash and burn vs UF next season.

100% agree. You learn nothing by running a watered down offense to hide him. Let’s find out what we have now

I was there with about 12 family members. Great game, the weather was not, but the obnoxiously loud speaker system was much worse.

It was beyond annoying. Is it always that loud or was it just that loud for us?

Hurts wasn’t a huge dude ( especially compared to an Milton). And Joe isn’t better than Hooker if the Tua reference you are referring too holds true.

I would have to agree with this totally. Our Defense is what needs attention.

FWIW - my observations on our current QB room:
Milton - he's the starter until he's not. My only question here is coming out of summer camp, how long of a leash does Heupel give him.
Jackson - seems to be developing into a solid backup with the potential to take over as he's in the system a year and seems to make good, quick in-game decisions.
Nico - the heir apparent with a much, much higher ceiling than the other two. Also, as others have stated the kid needs some groceries.

I do love that picture in the OP. Especially like the fact that not only is Milton 'teaching', but Nico seems very intent and open in taking instruction from Joe.

Attitude is good and all, but I’m more concerned with the talent portion of the equation. We’ve not seen any thing from him other than a cannon for an arm. Hopefully the bowl proves otherwise.

Guess you haven't seen him play in either 7x7 or a high school game. He's more than an arm. He's a leader who's toighbas nails and will get after the defense also. Doesn't back down and will make you pay off running your mouth. I watched a game were the team was trying to injure him. Late hits personal could etc. The twisted his foot on a tackle before half time and he was carried off. Bake back out in the 3rd and torched them.

High school and 7x7 hardly relate to SEC football, The test is how does he play against the big boys. It did not work out very well against the non SEC big boys last year. We will find out in Fall practice how much he has or has not progressed. Not much need to discuss until then.

I agree totally! What's all this animosity towards Joe. He hasn't lost us any games and has made some incredible throws. Lets let things play out. We got to get past Peytonitis and Hendonitis. It's Joes to win or lose.
