The Future (at QB)

I’m a fan of any UT qb but we have to have QBs who can play qb at an SEC level and gives us the best chance to win.
Milton hasn’t shown the ability to do that in any game he’s been in to this point. Hopefully he can figure out how to do that in the bowl game.
Our coaches seem to have a different opinion, but what do they know?

By the way, what do you mean that our coaches have a different opinion? It’s not like they’re choosing to play Milton over all of our other quality, experienced, scholarship QBs. He’s the only option they have.

Well, one of the two in that shot may well be the future.

Is Jackson healed enough to play in the bowl?

NCAA football weighs the same as HS football and he did OK, and some might say exceptional in HS.
You trying to make sense??

Got news for you! This is Volnation!! And our legit 5 star QB can't throw, read a defense, OR know the plays until he packs on the weight!!

He might as well put on a wig on go cheer for us🧡🧡🧡!

He'll be the loudest cheerleader saying "woooooo!"

Attitude is good and all, but I’m more concerned with the talent portion of the equation. We’ve not seen any thing from him other than a cannon for an arm. Hopefully the bowl proves otherwise.

He won the starting role at the beginning of last season and they obviously have not make it an essential priority to bring in another game ready QB for next season. Sounds to me like they have confidence in his ability. But I don't really know.

I've seen signs of great running ability.

still several losers on here that are Milton haters. Win or lose, I support Joe and hope (and expect) he will have a good showing against Clemson.

I think Joe will take UT to a double digit winning season next year. 10-2
Why is it when someone legitimately questions his accuracy, they're branded a "hater" or the even more comical "loser"?

Deflection in its laziest form.

Weight has nothing to do with knowing play, reading defenses and he can chunk that rock.

I would say Nico is who they are bringing in to be game ready for next season. But the norm would be to bring in 1-2 QBs in every class so it doesn’t really mean anything. Milton did earn the start last year ahead of Hooker but he showed he doesn’t play as well in games as he does in practice. He played awful and cost us the game against Pitt.
I really hope he had a great game in the bowl game because we don’t have anyone else

You a big Milton fan? Lol
We’ll see how the bowl game goes. Hope he can get it figured out
I'm just hoping we don't end up alongside UF in being a league embarrassment after our game vs Clemson. Backup QBs are such an unknown. What might be unique and maybe I'm grasping at straws here, but Milton should be very comfortable with the backup wrs who are now starters. Maybe we can put up a fight and be competitive.

6 weeks minimum depending on the break. Not wise for him to come back at this point in the season. Just can't afford a setback that might keep him out of spring ball.... assuming he's still here for the spring. You know he and his family will be very, very curious to see how Nico looks in his limited bowl practice reps. Might see the writing on the wall and opt for a new home before spring ball. That's the ideal time for a QB to make a move. They'll want that spring to get up to speed on the offense and work on that timing with receivers. He's definitely one I'll be watching after the bowl games.
