Nope. I just think it's pathetic you come in after two close losses just to start a thread on one certain player and say he sucks when he gives 100%. Why not start a thread on Tatum? Or Hall? Those guys didn't give 100%, where are their threads?

Yeah, he sucked in the last five minutes. I also understand that situation that Trae is in, something you seem to not get.

And hey, why don't we act like adults instead of throwing lame comebacks like a 13 year old while we are at it.

His situation? You act like he's living in an inner city project. He's the starting PG for the University of Tennessee. Quit acting like he's such a sob case and come to the realization he doesn't deserve to shoot in the last 5 minutes. He sucks during that time. Just the facts.

I'm with you ZJC on all accounts in your summary, except for McBee. I thought he played one of his better defensive games tonight, save for one or two lapses. He had some big rebounds and spent the night guarding Ware and Robinson who were a combined 8-28 from the field. While defense is usually his downfall, I found it to be respectable tonight.

Man, I thought the football forum was bad after a loss. I have a feeling you are wasting your time talking to someone who is desperate enough to say, "Are you Trae's boyfriend."

I completely agree with you, good post, but the fact is as a starting point guard in the SEC, more should be expected out of you than just 100 percent effort. Results need to be there, and the results haven't been there when we've needed them most. At the end.

It's not easy, let's just say that.

And also, those guys don't try to play hero in the final moments. They know they suck, as should Trae, and he should give the ball to Stokes and Maymon. It's not rocket science.

Did I say that? No, I didn't.

Use common sense.

There comes a point in every bad team's season where they put together 2-3 solid performances in a row and start thinking they're a good team. And then they have a game like tonight. Every time

Golden just simply doesn't have the clutch gene. You have it or you don't, and it doesn't seem like he does.

I haven't seen ZJC constantly defend him when he plays poorly. The only thing I see constant is you starting thread after thread and then hijacking other threads to get this point across. Last I checked, ZJC said there are more glaring problems on the team than Golden. That is fact.

Look it is simple as this:

Trae golden is the only person we have on our active roster that can play PG so there is no point in griping all the time about bench him or he sucks. Now with that said, he has proven that in the final moments of the game he does not need to be the guy taking the shot i think we all agree on that. The ball needs to be going down low to maymon and stokes and work it through them, if someone gets a wide open shot on the perimiter as a result then fine but they HAVE to get touches down low. Fatigue is not the answer for traes problems, he makes bad decisions through out the entire game, they are just blown up in the last minute or two because of the importance. This is what happens when you have a sg, who has a scorers mentality, playing the pg for your team. As said though unfortunately we dont have anybody else that we can play at pg until next year, maybe. One other thing i hate, our guards have got to learn to throw entry passes, jesus christ it is so aggravating to watch.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner!!!

Good teams find ways to pull out wins against bad to average teams on the road. Average to bad teams find ways to lose to bad to average teams on the road.

I said we would know more about this team after this game then we would after playing Fla, Miss St and Ky. It's easy to get up for 3 ranked teams. It's not so easy to get up for a perennial bad to average UGA team.

It's what you show on the road against an average team that pretty much would tell me what this team is made of. I got my answer. We're the same average team at best I thought we were. We are making progress in some areas, but we still have trouble closing out close games against any team (not counting Fla and that game wasn't really close down the stretch unbelievably) and still make mind numbing mistakes.

We'll be better next year, but until our guard play improves or we get better talent, we'll never be that good. Tatum and Golden are probably the two most average guards in the SEC. I haven't broken every team down, but I'd have to think they are easily in the bottom half or third.

If you take Golden out of the game in the last 5 minutes, we have no offense. I can understand wanting to feed the ball inside instead of giving clutch shots to Golden, but taking him out all together would be the worst thing to do if you want to produce points.

Butthurt and/or Golden stole your girl.

He's a SG playing PG in his sophomore year. He's leading the SEC in assists and he's eleventh in scoring.

He's our only option, there is not other alternative.

Facts, end of story, etc.

I can't stand black women so put that one back on the shelf. Wes Washpun could throw the ball down low to Stokes and Maymon. I'm fully confident in this fact. 100%. Golden, not so much.

You're judging him entirely on his offensive play, which is not his strength nor is he even playing his natural offensive position in PG -- he's a natural 2. This shows a lack of knowledge of the game or you have some misguided vendetta against a kid that is a So.

He's a kid learning a very difficult position by fire in front of everybody on the big stage. It's really easy to sit here abstracted from putting a face to your "points" and be 100% negative instead of any spec of sensibility to recognize the big picture.
