Same here. I've defended Martin up to this point but after tonight I'm done with it.

Like I said before, I really like him and he represents UT with class, but the bottom line is that this is a results driven business. Next year he better produce results.

Have stayed in the FB section mostly and given how rough that has been, that says it all. He may be a great coach, but these guys are so bad I cant watch. Still, how can you fire a guy after 2 years?

Here's my take on the remainder and why I think they will not be over 0.500 (I'd gladly be wrong on this):

Sitting at 11-10 currently:

@ S.Car - W (first road victory)

vs UK - L
vs LSU - W

vs Fla - L
@ UGA - L
@ Aub - W
vs Mizzou - L

Finish 14-16. I could see the Vandy & UGA games being possible but don't believe both will happen to get above 0.500.

I have a feeling some of the people calling for Martin to be fired probably called for Pearl to be fired when they were falling apart his last year.

I was calling for Pearl to be fired, but it was not for his abilities on the bench. Rather it was his inability to tell the truth and leaving UT looking very bad due to his actions and in a position where he had to be fired. He was a great coach but a snake in the grass.

C. Martin's issues begin with the fact he's not a good coach. Does not appear his recruiting ability is much either to date.

You probably don't want to go down that road. Pearl could have finished undefeated his final season, and still have deserved to be fired. That season's results had nothing to do with his fate.

I say that as a big fan of Pearl too.
