Bring them on. 2 to a 3 is not that big a deal. If we swapped with Nova we would still have to meet them at the same place just with white jerseys instead of Orange. Win and advance. All we need to know. Won't mind if the guys quietly carry a huge chip on their shoulder thought.

I don't think anyone has questioned Villanova deserving a 2 seed. Presumably, had the seeding followed the NET rankings, we'd have been paired against a 3 seed with a weaker resume than Villanova has.

I mean theoretically yes if we make it to that point and they make it to that point all bets are off, sure it’s a revenge game for them but we would have just made the elite 8 and there is no shame in losing in the elite 8 especially when this university has only one elite 8 in its history…

Stop being pansies. Yes, UT got robbed on the seeding. Should’ve been a 2 seed - we had no business arguing for a 1 seed - and we got hosed with being a 3 seed in the Arizona bracket. I would prefer to switch places with UK too. But UT plays better with a chip on its shoulder rather than being the chosen one or ones and this should send the message that there’s no respect for UT nationally and we need to prove them wrong. And UT would have to beat good teams as a 2 seed too.

So, strap in boys, let’s get it done!!!

I don’t know if we don’t have an easier path to the S16 vs Villanova? I didn’t want to get a first round match with UTC or a second round match with Iowa.

The more I look at the bracket the more I see it as not necessarily easy. I worry a little about a matchup with Villanova and of course then you have to worry about Arizona. I think this team will look at the bracket and use it as motivation. Deacon Rick Barnes won't have to say anything. The boys in orange will put a chip on their shoulders and prove they are a Final Four team. GBO!

There’s really no such thing as an easy bracket in March. You have to play your best basketball and hope some breaks fall your way. Not even early round games are close to a sure thing in March. It’s what makes it so much fun.

As others mentioned we've improved, and honestly they played probably their best game all year against us. I haven't really been very impressed with them most of the year. We're by far their best win, outside of that, nothing particularly impressive honestly.

2 things are clear— (1) while KY may deserve a 2 seed, they don’t deserve the top 2 seed. That puts them in the bracket with the weakest 1 seed. Their record goes to justify such an easy bracket. (2) Duke gets the 2 seed which puts them in Greenville. They don’t deserve a 2 and don’t deserve to play in their home territory.

Might be a slightly favorable bracket, but we also have Loyola Chicago in our bracket? Not happy about that. They would have to go through Nova to get to us though.

Yes, Nova is good defensively but Vols are much better offensively than 8 weeks ago. JJJ has raised his offensive game a TON, Chandler is better, we're getting more from our bigs than early in the year. We are playing impressively, overall. Gotta do it when the lights come on, but we should be confident.
