So, are you just going off strictly instinct?

I do play a lot by feel, but I wouldn't call it instinct. I just use the putter blade as my reference and when I feel like it's square to the line I swing it. I don't want to get so line committed by the arrow on the ball that it competes with what my eyes are telling me.

So, do you make a good number of your putts then?

I think all of us spot putt at times.

Agreed, I would hope if you were trying to make a putt you would aim at something, and not the right lip from 20 ft. I was just saying pick a spot 6 inches in front of you and make sure you roll the ball over that spot.

Nothing personal, but we're not stupid.

I can't stand doing that either.:) I've always just read the putt, aimed at the apex of the break and just hit it.

So, I finally had a chance to watch the Haney Project. The good thing about the Golf Channel is they give you more than enough opportunities to watch one of their originals.

I don't want to come on here and be a jerk, but I know he would make sure to point it out to me. BPV: did you happen to check out how "flat" he was trying to get Barkley? And, don't give me any kind of junk about it being just because Barkley is way across the line because that is the exact reason Tiger went to him in the first place. He didn't like how his swing with Butch got him across the line.

don't be stupid. He went to Hank because he and Butch have personal issues, period. You're comparing teaching Barkley to teaching Tiger Woods. I can't think of a more ridiculous comment, seriously.

Be a jerk all you'd like, but don't consider it a free ride to post senselessness. He drove it well under Butch and didn't before, hasn't since and won't again.

Maybe you should stick to giving us putting lessons.

I love it when the hackers in front of me lie on their bellies to get a read. That just makes my round!

I give up. Your knowledge of the golf swing is so much better than mine. I wish you the best of luck on making the senior tour. Do you care to give us your name so we can keep an eye out for you?
