Picked up a set of UT Driver and fairway wood headcovers on sale at Dick's  also a UT magnetic ball marker to wear on my new Bethpage Black '09 hat. Also picked up a new 60 degree Nike SR wedge. I love after Christmas sales at sporting good stores

Sweet,
You asked about the clubs in the Smokey picture. They are my son's. They are the final junior size which he will probably out grow before the end of 2010. They are Walter Hagen. Luckily, one of his grandfathers is left handed also and he is saving a set of Mizunos for him when he is ready for a full size set. Saves me a bundle :)

Shoot all my clubs are hand me downs from my dad, good things he decided to pass those Callaway X-12's down to me :) Saving money is good!

Awesome that he's got a set of Mizuno's waiting on him...
I play the MP-32's

My son's 4, so I've got a few more sets before he's big enough for the hand me down's

My father in law buys a new set every other year or so, searching for that magic set. He will never find them, but, it is great for my son the lefty.

give him this piece of advice, a friend told me..

"it's the indian, not the arrow"

father in law should enjoy that

oh, he knows, he is just a sucker for the "latest and greatest"....that is why I said he looks for that "magic" set
I have been using my same set of Ping Eye II for the last 15 years and I whip his butt every time

last time i play was in November.

it's 25 degrees here. trying to get a ball to stop on frozen greens is next to impossible. might as well be hitting to concrete.

typically always play the day after Christmas and I'll never forget one year at Graysburg I hit the perfect high PW into the center of the green. It was frozen and the ball bounced off the green and shot about 65 yards past the green. I've hit cart paths with less bounce.

Didn't get to do that this year as the courses were covered in snow.

I played four days in a row last week, played about as you would expect without grabbing a club the previous month.

Lucky. West TN is expecting frigid temps for at least another week, so it looks like I'll have to live vicarously through you all's experiences for a little while longer.

Yeah, it's seventies out here all next week. The only issue is now I am back to work after a week off.

yea winter sux, but i play year round, always waiting on the greens to thaw so we can hit the course, played last saturday in 35 deg weather.

I get no enjoyment from playing in freezing temps, I gave up playing below the 50 degree mark some years back. If the itch gets so bad that I have to scratch, I'll fly south or west and tee it up.

Played strawberry farms in irvine sat. Started off quad, triple, bogey, bogey, bogey, bogey, bogey, par and par. Awful.

Ended up at 90 so I settled down a little. It's a tough course if you aren't hitting it straight, and I couldn't keep it in play at the start.

Scott McCarron calls Mickelson a cheater, for using a Ping Eye 2 wedge.
The club's been grandfathered for use with square grooves
