The Golf Thread

i switched over just quick enough to watch Bryce Molder meltdown on 15 or 16 and take a 9.

i couldn't help but laughing at that. nice to see it happen to somebody else.

Sweet swing. That thing looks more jacked up than Jack Lemon. Goofy grip and head up early with near reverse pivot.

He has heat, big cut and otherworldly putter when it's rolling.

I was talking more about the tempo.

It certainly has it's quirks, though.

Guy can mash when he wants. I know I've said it before, but I was beside him when he hit an absolute bullet, rope hook, eyball high 3 wood on 10 at Augusta. Never forget how fast that ball got tiny for the rest of my life. That was still the balata / professional days and he still murdered it.

Yea he kind of reminds me of guys like Davis Love III. A lot of people don't realize that he has that extra gear and can put them out there when needed.

Davis is like that.

But people know Davis has that gear.

Some don't though.

But you are right, there was a time when Duval could pull off all the shots.

When Davis was battling with Freddie to be tops, he was the longest guy out there. Daly passed him, but Davis was the hammer in the early 90s. Had that club vertical over his right ear and it was about 12 feet high. Incredible position.

The shot he hit out of the trees at Sawgrass was one of the best shots I've ever seen.

Seeing commercials for the Masters always take me back. Beautiful course and even better atmosphere during the tournament

I spent from about 1990-1992 trying to emulate the "Power Move".

Average guys everywhere were after width. Count me in, as long as I can avoid the penguin walk and effeminate tendencies.

I saw DL3 at a yogurt store in St. Simons a few years ago and I can attest that he has the corn cob up the butt look at all times even off the course.
