The Golf Thread

Thanks, I'm hoping to get cleared by next month so I can make the Scottsdale Arizona trip with my course regulars, weather is usually perfect for play there in late Feb......I know I'm probably gonna spray em' all over the place after such a long lay off, but I'm still eager to tee it up.
spraying 'em is better than talking about playing.

I say that, until I'm doing the spraying, then it's normally something along the lines of "I'da been better off just working today".

Who cares, it's gettin' close and I'm ready to spray. Got winter as an excuse for the first couple months.

so should I or should I not?
Go ahead and do it. It's pretty fun and the motions are actually fairly realistic. The same stuff that creates a draw or a cut also works on the Wii. The problem is that the controller doesn't provide the resistance that a golf club does, so it's easy to overdo it.

so we'll just hit a bunch of knockdowns.

is a knockdown driver a tough shot?

I think I'm gonna do it. Might be here in the pub tomorrow whining about my pending divorce, but our family needs a Wii.

I stayed away from the golf on my daughters Wii for fear of reinjury to my back but I tried the tennis and ended up sweating like I'd just run a marathon.

Alright BP, it is time to start talking Bowling Green or Nashville. I am ready to swingem.
I'll be in Nashville in mid-March. I'll shore up the dates and we'll do it then. I play at a CC in Hendersonville called Bluegrass. Good track with very good greens. Might be able to make that work.

I was hoping for some late April early May action...but you let me know and I will make it work.

in BG, my brother in law is a member at BGCC or we could give Kenny Perry's track a shot.

Country Creek in Franklin? I believe that's the right name. Heard good things about it.

Was in heaven this summer at Olde Stone, I was hoping possibly you all had an inside way of playing there.

my brother-in-law can get you onto Olde Stone. He's played it quite a bit. says it's a sweet place and great track.

I was told I was welcome back whenever I wanted to play and I plan on taking them up on that at some point. Good track that I can seriously see giving Valhalla a run for it's money in the Bluegrass state.

The greens at Olde Stone were insane. Extremely fast with lots of breaks. Didn't help that we played it after a major junior tournament and they had the rough high and extremely thick. I'd be interested to see how it plays in normal member conditions.
