It is currently 12 degrees here.

Since I have an aversion to playing golf in long sleeves, and don't even reallly get all that excited about playing in long pants, I believe I shall stay in hybernation for a while longer.

i can't stand playing in long sleeves either, and will wear shorts to play golf in anything above 55. However, sometimes the urge to play gets the best of me and I must play. I've played while snow flurries bounced off my nose and in temps that would make Jack Frost proud. Sometimes I just have to get my fix.

got the new mizuno bettinardi black carbon putter (bc2) and it is sweet. soft feel and heavier in the shorter models. rare in stock putters.

got my annual 60 degree vokey wedge. set for the year.

looks like leonard yakked it away.

Met one of the younger Bettinardis this summer and some of his aspiring friends. It's amazing the custom made model styles you can get.

there are some putter lunatic sites out there (puttertalk.com) that talk a lot the workshop and his customs.

this black carbon is a blade style and they have no inserts. just a different milling pattern in the hitting area. it's very similar to the cameron I was putting for years, but has a line on top instead of a dot. single carbon steel block heads that get heavier as putters get shorter. i use a 34" putter and have always had lead tape on them.

All this golf talk is warming me up...incidentally, this weekend my two year old daughter asked me to get her golf clubs out of the closet. That has me pretty excited.

I got in trouble yesterday for wearing a rut in my wife's rug from the trips back and forth putting. It's getting close.

I haven't gotten clearance from my doctor yet but I feel like I could hit em' tommorrow, back feels better than it has in 2 or 3 years. After taking almost 8 months off I've got the itch bad, I hope the doc clears me for play by next month.

good luck with that. Let's hope the doc works out and the weatherman joins in.

Thanks, I'm hoping to get cleared by next month so I can make the Scottsdale Arizona trip with my course regulars, weather is usually perfect for play there in late Feb......I know I'm probably gonna spray em' all over the place after such a long lay off, but I'm still eager to tee it up.
