The Golf Thread

I use the Grint App. The GPS is good for the most part but the other score tracking features are nice.

Played LPGA international this past weekend. The courses are really nice but Daytona Beach is an awful destination.

I had a convention there last year. You are correct. It sucks and it's a little sad that it's packed with people that don't realize that.

Somebody will probably create a full thread for it, and rightfully so, but the USGA has made a joke of golf again. I just don't understand why they do this.

Because watching spoiled multimillionaires squirm and get their panties in a wad is funny?

God forbid they play somewhere they can't shoot -double digits.

That's not what I'm saying at all. I'd just rather see a setup where somebody goes and wins it rather than survives it. Some people love it, but I don't get the allure of watching golf like a Nascar race and waiting for the wrecks.

I really don't mind it once a year. I was at the US Open the year Rory ran away with it at Congressional. While enjoyable to watch, it made Sunday very uninteresting. Granted, that was due to it raining most of the week and the course being too wet. At least with making someone "survive" it, there's always a chance Sunday could be interesting.

I'm playing on Father's day for the first time since the day after Christmas. As someone who played Golf in college, I'll never get used to playing this little.

There's a difference in hard and making a circus track full of ways to screw up even a good shot.

When they add a windmill to the green on 16 and they have to hit it in the dragon mouth on 12, then I'll be right there with you. Until then, I don't care care what the players think about it.
