The Golf Thread

I lived 10 miles from TPC Sawgrass back in the 70s. I watched them build that course from scratch. I remember thinking when I first saw where they were going to build it.....They are going to build it there!!

I moved from there 9 months before they had the first Players Championship there.

Unpopular hot take . . . the Valley course is more fun than the Stadium course.

I never got to play either of those courses but was on the property several times. Did play the Sawgrass CC however.

Fantastic golf course. Amazing views. Spacious fairways and the greens were fast. Not too long, played around 6700 at the tips because it was wet. Would absolutely do it again. Other great golf in that area as well.

Thanks, I have played quite a few courses in Western NC, but never Sequoyah National, every time I would try and book there something always got in the way. Locked and loaded now though, teeing it up there in 3 weeks.

This time next week I’ll be in Augusta.

Can’t wait.
It's awesome every single time. I haven't been in 10 years though. Always end up down at Hilton Head the very next week for the Heritage. Yeah . . . the field isn't as good, but there's something to be said for a PGA event played on a flat golf course with a copious number of bars.

I have a ticket for Thursday’s round. Lucked in to this one. It was offered to my Father In Law but he’s letting me go, not a big golf guy. Evidently have access to Berckrmans Place. I have never been before and I am pretty stoked.

I'm thinking about going down early Wed and trying to get a ticket. For those that have bought from the secondary market, where have you had the best luck?

At this point it is difficult to tell if ESPN loves or hates Tiger. Cause showing his every shot at this point appears to lean towards torture.

They love him because he drives viewership. If nobody cared to watch him, they'd never show him.

Other than Jordan, I don't know if anybody has ever moved the needle for their sport as much as him. And Tiger's still doing it when he's a shell of himself physically.
