I wouldn't call what he did last week as "folding". I do agree though, there's been times he has choked coming down the stretch. Usually with his putting

Scottie Scheffler placed in handcuffs this morning on his way to the course. He was trying to navigate around a traffic jam that was caused by a fatal car accident.

I don’t know details, but no way he was DUI before the round at 6 am. How in the world does a traffic stop in the middle of snarled traffic end up with a guy in cuffs on the way to jail?? Either he got really stupid or a cop lost his mind.

Think I read the cops are saying they tried to “attach” themselves to his car and Scottie started driving away haha. Just detain the dude and let him go. He got a mug shot and everything now.

What a joke. “Scheffler has been charged with second degree assault of police officer, third degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and disregarding traffic signals from an officer directing traffic.”

On the bright side, he bonded out and is on the way to the course.

Based on what I saw earlier to definitely look like the cop escalated. A reported on scene kinda said the same thing without saying it at the time.

Only one of two things will happen today for Scottie. Scottie shoots the course record or he shoots 10 over and misses the cut.

Now that I think about it… the assault is probably going to be the cop grabbing onto the car and Scheffler driving another 20 feet.

I don't even think it was that. I think the moron cop grabbed Scheffler's moving vehicle as if he could stop the 2 ton car, and Scheffler is charged with putting the officer at risk of being run over.

Yep… I came to that realization probably while you were typing that.

I don’t doubt that Scheffler may have acted entitled, but crazy to get booked on something like that.

I’m positive he committed a traffic violation, but I’m not even sure he was a smart mouth to the cop or anything. There was an espn reporter right there apparently and only thing he mentioned Scottie saying was asking him for help.
