No. Like I said, Blow is amazing, and it's a 7.5.

My point was if you are a good actor, you are going to have a lot of 8s. It's not as definitive as I thought, but here's a look at a comparable actor:

Brad Pitt:
Se7en - 8.7
12 Monkeys - 8.1
Fight Club - 8.8
Snatch - 8.3
Inglorious Basterds - 8.3
Benjamin Button - 7.9

Fascinating observation considering the amount of critical acclaim and acting awards he's either been nominated for out won outright. (including winning a Golden Globe and being nominated for Best Actor at the Academy Awards)

Of course, none of these people are credible at assessing acting talent...right?

While I can appreciate where you're trying to go with this it has too much of that "player X never won a championship" ring to it. The best player ever on a lousy team isn't going to win many games and even a great individual performance will not necessarily save a bad movie.

I can't comment on Angry Men, since I haven't seen it (not in last 40 years). Godfather and Godfather 2 do belong, IMO.

Good, Bad, and Ugly has been so long since I've seen it, I can't offer a good opinion.

Finally someone besides me mentions Tom Hardy.

I don't understand how anyone can think Jesse freakin Eisenberg is a better actor than Tom Hardy.
