The Grill and BBQ thread

OK. A few months after I got my BGE I asked my wife what she wanted me to cook for her birthday and she asked for duck l'orange. WTF? So I researched and found this recipe to make on the BGE. It's very good and will impress most people. Give it a go if so inclined.

Ok guys, as many of you know, I built the outdoor kitchen that includes the charcoal grill. I was hoping maybe to get your opinions into the best charcoal. I've tried your standard Kingsford and royal oak. Sometimes the royal oak works good and sometimes it doesn't. The Kingsford is pretty consistent but the flavor has always been a little chemical to me.

I use Kingsford normally and sprinkle various wood chips in it. I did use a food city brand for a while that was mesquite flavored, it was pretty good.

It's been a long week - about time I got back at it. Right here we've got a tequila lime pork rib eye roast with rosemary and garlic. :dance2: I can't wait.

Money shot. I scored the roast and stuffed with garlic and rosemary which gave a great flavor but somewhat unorthodox look when slicing. Taste was there and that's what matters. At least that's what I'm telling myself.

I prefer something ugly and delicious much more than food that's beautiful but nasty.

Awesome. So what did you do with that bird? There's always a debate around here. Tacos, sliced etc.

Made Tacos today. Got a little too hungry and forgot to take pictures of the finished product. :)

Still have some leftover and am going to do a BBQ chicken grilled pizza tomorrow.

That is one thing we did different from the instructions. My wife mixed it, she did it like she normally does. We didn't lay it out flat and roll it up like their directions. The consistency may be normal to some people as meatloaf is one of those things everyone makes different.

I haven't done it before myself so I'll have to rub some chocolate spread on my next meatloaf too. :)

Before I read it, I was honestly sitting here thinking "did he just make a choclate cake on a grill?!" Props!
