The Grill and BBQ thread

Huh........I might have to try that. My brisket burnt ends are awesome. I still have trouble with the rest of it drying out to fast though.

I do this recipe with the Kroger Private Selection stuff (all-beef dogs or brisket dogs) and a Texas-style rub. Then finish it with Killer Hog's sauce. People freak out for it.

So I made these last night for the Eagles/ Giants game and they were awesome. I used some Angus hot dogs a local grocer in the Sarasota area makes. I used Killer Hogs BBQ rub and Blues Hog Sauce. I served them on a Kings Hawaiian roll with minces onion and sliced pickles. Very good! Thanks again for sharing.

Based on your post I just put mine on. I had a small pork loin. Butterflied and pounded. Used Killer hogs AP rub, BBQ rub, some Grilla Grill Bold n Gold sauce, baby Swiss, shaved off the bone ham, & Grillo's pickles. I can't wait to try this!

I’m looking at getting a pellet grill. Been looking hard at the camo chef dlx24. And will most likely get the sidekick accessories for the griddle and a gas grill/sear.

I need something versatile. We cook pizzas, steaks, ribs and just plain burgers and hotdogs also. And this thing seems like it’ll be able to do it all without the long wait of heating charcoal up or the limitations of a regular gas grill. Am I missing something, any other/ better recommendations?

SmokePro DLX 24 Pellet Grill - Bronze

Thanks

In the market for a new pellet grill and believe I've decided on the Yoder YS640s. Does anyone have one? Also, has anyone found a good outdoor kitchen option - looking for something modular preferably in stainless. Don't want to spend a ton of money on a custom one.

Ive has this same grill for 6 months or ado and don’t have any complaints so far.

My friend has a traeger and while it’s nice, I can’t really tell a difference in quality from what I’ve seen. Plus The camp chef comes with more features than a Traeger of comparable price.

Geez, and I thought Trager's were expensive lol. I like the look, though.

You can buy a deflector with a trap door allowing you to cook over direct flames and create searing. I haven't seen this option on any other pellet grills and I like the quality and thickness of this grill. I have a Camp Chef now and while it does a good job cooking, it's cheaply made. The grill grates are not stainless and already rusting on me.

Does anyone own (or know someone who owns) one of these? The price point and fuel options are great.

I've looked at those and othes. There's nothing better than a pizza made with Italian flour, tomatoes and real buffalo cheese.

Let us know if you get something.

I've always used a big green egg which gets up to 800 degrees easily, but getting the pizza stone hot takes a while.
