The Grill and BBQ thread

Anniversary coming up next weekend and I might do surf and turf. Anybody ever put lobster tails on an egg?
Yes sir. Trim the little "legs," cut the back of the shell, and separate/lift the meat out. Coat both sides with butter, salt, pepper, a little garlic and paprika. Foil the tail fin. Grill shell down for a few minutes, then flip and hit the meat with heat until done. Time is totally dependent on the size of your tails. Don't overcook!

I'm new to this as well. Have done babybacks twice now and turned out great. Were devoured! Will likely never try another method. Try this next time and let me know how it turns out.

Have been doing a 2-2-1 and 225. 2 hrs unwrapped, 2 wrapped, and 1 unwrapped. When wrapping I totally cover the top in brown sugar(guessing close to 1/2 cup) and put pats of butter, almost touching, the entire length of the rack. Have also been putting a pan with water on the grates and spritzing with apple juice about every 30 minutes. If want to sauce brush on at 30 minutes left and at 15 minutes left.

Edit: This is not my recipe. Was suggested to me from someone on here. I just can't remember who to give credit to.
They call me Mr. butchna!

Oh ok, we actually have that. I was just visualizing the meatloaf slowly vanishing through the holes (or grills, etc.), as it seems that meatloaf hangs together more out of habit than anything else.
Right. I wouldn't put one on the normal rack. That's just asking for trouble. Even with all the binders you put in one.

Well I did it. I bought a masterbilt gravity fed smoker. Seasoned last night and will do first smoke on it this afternoon. I’m thinking ribs or chicken. If y’all have any tips on these things it would be greatly appreciated.
I remember my first time. Cherish it! :)
