Maybe bc he took over one of the worst programs in D1 that was winless the year before he got there in Temple. Then inherited a Miami program with a roster very similar to ours when DD took over that was decimated by attrition, transfers, dismissals, ect.

Golden talks a GREAT game, he has a plan and sells it well. Personally, I buy in, I think he has Miami on the road back to national prominence, but some fans are already wary of all the big talk. They want instant results.

And he won three more games in a horrible conference than DD did in the same time frame. Along with a 40-45 overall record. He has also recruited worse than Randy Shannon and finished with the same records that got RS fired.

Everyone in Miami is worried he is going to leave. They don't want him to.

Everyone is Knoxville is worried he is coming. We don't want him here

Gotcha. Yea, it's that way at almost every major programs these days. Win now & keep winning or GTFO. See Auburn situation lol.

I've got a good friend that's a Miami fan & he's a big believer in AG & what he's doing there. Through talking with him since AG has been at Miami & knowing what he did at Temple & even before as a DC I'm a big believer in him as well. I can understand UT fans looking at his overall record & saying no thanks but I feel very confident he'll be successful whether it's at Miami, UT, or wherever. I'm personally hoping this Gruden thing happens somehow but if not I'd be totally fine if AG ended up here. My good friend wouldn't be too happy about it though. Hopefully, we end up with Gruden & AG stays there so we're both happy lol.

Ok, you've got your opinion & I've got mine. I'm done trying to get people to see how bad both of his HC situations were/are. I think he'd do really well here. JMO
