I will say this. The tbi is much further along w this than what they are telling us.

i prolly have no clue what i'm talking about but my gut says she knew the guy and she's being locked away somewhere while he goes on living his day to day life

Tiger didn't want to attempt to type all this on a cell phone volly. :p

First, this is from more than one person. All have been active in the search and are fairly connected to to say.

The 17 year old ex-bf (the non-crazy one) was brought in last Wednesday, questioned for 2 hours, and let go. He's pretty upset over this and has been out helping search every day after school for the last week and all weekend. He has been cleared.

Second, please stop the rumors about the brother. He's not a suspect. Holly's current bf is an avid hunter and apparently came by the house in camo more than once. The brother had no reason whatsoever to believe it was anything more than her and her bf walking. I don't know how much I can emphasize this.

Third, I'll stand by everything I've said regarding the initial trail she was leaving and the authorities thinking they had them Friday night. Not only did they call them all in to the fairgrounds, but they also used the pending "storm" as a reason to get them out early as well. That's why the SWAT team was brought in. I have had all of this confirmed. I don't know what happened, but they had a good reason to believe they had them on Friday.

Fourth, the dogs had an initial trail. It went through the woods to a road and then stopped.

Finally, just trust me that there is a reason that the investigation seems so helter-skelter right now. I really don't want to give any info publicly, but it all makes sense and there is a common denominator to all. The TBI is much farther along than what we realize. No, I don't know anything that secret, but just trust me that it is not a "well, what do we try next?" search going on. It all makes sense. If you knew some of the other places they've gone to get info, you'd really be confused.

guess i was wrong then, but that's what i'd always heard. that a call had to come into or off of the phone. which is a moot point now, because the phone has been recovered

Not trying to be rude ... there are ways, though (the easiest being just calling the phone - but you don't have to call).

Can't imagine what it's doing to the parents to think they were close on Friday. That breaks my heart.

Yes, the phone's been found, but there could be a trail of pings that they could retrace for additional clues.

And the gov't could have a photo or two from satellite of the area that could reveal a "practice run" or maybe another vehicle that could help pinpoint the attacker. You never know. If I was her parent, I would want all possibilities exhausted.
