Lot of new phones have gps in them. Probably just has to be turned on.

Some phones don't even have to be turned on, IIRC. It depends on the type of tower, the type of phone, and who wants to know...

Wireless phone roaming agreements in this rural area will be key to deciphering any pings. Hopefully she only has a quick messaging or flip phone on a trusted post-paid network. An Android device, Symbian smart, Windows Mobile or Iphone would be well past dead at this point.

It may be that the authorities have gleaned all they needed days ago. But the chance of any cellie lasting longer than a couple days exposed to the elements is highly doubtful.

Ugh. Just ugh. Hopefully the whole theory of leaving a trail of evidence is the reason they found the phone. Abandoned cell phone found near interstate can be either good or really terrible news.

There's a troll Facebook page called "we will find you holly bobo". DO NOT like it. They're making fun of Holly and Jesus and prayer in the pictures and it makes me sick. It's alright if you don't believe in the same religion as some people but don't make fun of a person that has been kidnapped..absolutely makes me sick to my stomach.
