Okay, I got sucked in and read this entire thing. I never follow cases, but this one has me sooooo enthralled. It makes NO sense whatsoever - mostly because very little has been officially released by LE. I don't know what V4L and Tiger post are people giving them BS or great info, or a mix of both. They've done an awesome job giving us info, though.
My completely ignorant opinion is that this poor young lady won't be found alive. I pray for a different outcome, but I felt that way as soon as I started reading this. While the lunchbox, duct tape, etc make things a bit strange, I just think she's gone. The duct tape with hair on it, to me, implies a struggle. Why is the duct tape off?
I just hate this for her family and friends.
I am new here. I will have to say, of all the sites that I've been reading, this one seems to have more "respect" for other participants and the family involved. I do not live in Tennessee at the moment, I'm waiting on my house to sell and then move to Nashville. Can't wait to move to the Volunteer State!
I would like to say this....Don't ever give up hope...no matter what. It's not over till the we say it's over! Keep up the fine conversations guys.
Very interesting article... :shakehead:

It sounds like from that article that they have their suspect, but they aren't officially naming him a suspect probably to keep him from being able to invoke the 5th amendment or having access to a lawyer.
I agree. I'm extremely disturbed by the VIOLENT offender label.
Assuming that article's source are accurate, I'm curious as to the items that the alleged suspect's wife removed from the vehicle during it's detailing...
Anyways, my thoughts from all of this from what I have been told.
I cannot help but believe she is dead and her body was thrown in one of the many lakes in the area or the Tennessee River. I honestly don't know how long she was alive after she was abducted. The fact that so many items were found after the fact makes me think she was either alive for a decent amount of time or that the people who abducted her did a nice trick on everyone spreading the stuff around.
I do think (actually I would place good money) that the TBI and law enforcement still has definite suspects in mind and that any searches that have happened somehow tie into these suspects no matter how random they might be. I agree with what others have mentioned at this point since it is no longer a resue operation (at least how it appears) that the TBI is now concered with making sure they can nail the suspect.
At this point given my thoughts on her well-being (and I hope I am 100% wrong), I want the TBI to do whatever it takes to make sure justice is served. If that means in takes days, weeks, months, make sure the search is through and complete.
I would sure like to know what ever happened to Bill Nay (I think) the radio guy that said Holly is alive and he has credible source!! Everything seemed to come to a dead halt after that. His facebook site has been mostly down since then. I haven't checked lately. I hoped and prayed so hard that that was the truth. It was even posted she was in a hospital many times and it seemed she was in protective custody but that never materialized. I hate thinking she is dead but 23 days is a very long time. I feel so bad for her family not knowing is really hard!! I guess they could have her drugged. It is hard to believe the things people do. I pray they find her soon!!
What is Tennesse color. I'm from California and have no idea.
Bright orange and white
Our Lady Vols also have a baby blue accent and lately (must be due to marketing and revenue) they have been adding a black accent color to the regular Vols mdse. Don't know about others but I dislike the addition of the black since to me it makes our orange and white look like Halloween. I cannot imagine why they have tried to dilute the big orange unless it's a marketing ploy to sell "new" merchandise...certainly not "new and improved" merchandise in my eyes.
And, by the way, our orange is a bright, true orange unlike some other universities. I feel sure you'd recognize our orange and white checkerboard end zone on our football field...sharpest in the whole NCAA!
Sorry guys, I couldn't resist complaining about the black they use to accent our colors...totally unnecessary in the opinion of our UT home. We think the tradition of UT orange and white needs no "tampering." We may be old school but we make no apologies for it.
Back on topic now: I am feeling like most of you. I want so badly for Holly to be found and brought home alive but as the number of days keep mounting, my hope is dwindling to vapor. I just hope they build a case so strong that there is even no "unreasonable" doubt in the guilt.
