Did they actually say anything or turn up a body? The way this is being handled it seems like a witch hunt & nothing more.
This is a complete hunch, but I'm betting that what got the ball rolling so fast is that the DNA they took from Adams at the time of his arrest on the unrelated aggravated assault charge last week matched the DNA from the Bobo crime scene.
People forget there was blood found in the garage where she was taken. The media glossed over it and investigators never said anything about it except that they had gotten DNA results back and would not comment on it.
Since 2009, TN has taken DNA from anyone arrested for a list of violent offenses, and aggravated assault is one of them. So we know they found DNA at the scene, and we know they took DNA from Adams when he was arrested last week. Seems reasonable to guess there may be a match there.
What's interesting is that if there was a match, Adams was also arrested for aggravated assault in July 2011, 3 months after Bobo went missing. If there was a DNA match, it should've been discovered three years ago. What a shame would it be to find out that a DNA match IS what broke this case open, and that it didn't happen in July 2011 because of some delay that caused the crime scene DNA to not be available in the database yet, or someone didn't run the samples like they should have, or something.
Admittedly all this is based on the hunch that a DNA match discovered last week is what got things going so fast, and that might not even be the case. But it's interesting to think about.
