The problem is that he and his staff lied about it for months. This after other lies like “sharp as a tack” and the lies start to pile up. Say what you want about Trump but at least he’s truthful when he says he’s going to pardon the Jan 6 folks

Not to mention Biden was getting credit for being the “Rule of law” President for nearly a year. That narrative ran on repeat. Trump is a criminal. Mugshots. Indictments etc. Meanwhile, Joe respects the process, the judicial system, juries etc. AND the PROOF is Joe isn’t even gonna pardon his own son! Oh, so much integrity! Joe Biden, AKA George Washington, cares deeply about America and deeply about justice!


Everyone with half a brain knew that narrative was crap. Now everyone else can see that it was crap.

FWIW; if Joe was merely trying to protect his son, he had the option of simply commuting the sentence. The conviction stays on his record but he never serves a day in jail.
Instead, he gets a total blanket 10 year pardon that covers any and all crimes.
Nope, this wasn’t about protecting Hunter at all. This was about protecting a lot of people AROUND Hunter (one of them named Joe)

not saying you are wrong, but this isn't a dad keeping his 12 year old son from going to jail after he damaged someone else's property while playing. Joe isn't doing anything noble, like stepping into take a bullet so his son can keep living; nor is he stepping in to right the wrong that Hunter did to keep him out of jail.

Hunter isn't a child that Joe is still responsible for. Hunter is a 53 year old man with children of his own, even if he doesn't claim them. and its not his first offense, or just making an honest mistake.

it also comes on several fronts that Joe has based his political career around. Paying your fair share of taxes? not hunter. Gun control? not hunter. Bringing back honor and respect of the law? not Hunter.

at some point Joe should have cut Hunter off. Being an enabling father figure is NOT being a protective father figure. I would argue its quite the opposite as it has created a worse reality than having held Hunter accountable at some point.

Biden is taking out his revenge on the Democrats that ran him off the ticket with every move he makes. His statement could have been "As a father, I simply couldn't let my son go to prison when I had the power to prevent it." It would have further confirmed that he's a liar and a hack, but most folks would have understood.

Instead, Biden went out of his way to confirm that everything Trump has said about the political weaponization of the DOJ has been true all along. And with the dating of the pardon, he confirmed that all of the influence peddling the Democrats swore never happened was 100% true.

It's not enough for Biden to tarnish he own legacy (an exercise for which he needs little help), he is determined to take the party down with him.

“I support Joe Biden. I think he is a good leader. But this was wrong. I’m not sure why he felt the need to lie to the American people on this issue but clearly he did. I still wish him well and support him as President”.

Why is it so hard for these people to say something like I just stated above???

Instead we get “Joes never lied a day in his life. Trump had a firing squad ready to kill Hunter and Joe had to save him!”

It's easy to see why Biden felt the need to lie about this...same reason he lied about the laptop in 2020. It's because then they'd lose the narrative that Trump is above the law. Biden telling the truth would hurt politically. To Trump's credit, he doesn't care about politics. He tells you what he thinks...may be accurate, may not but at least it's authentic. He admits that he's going to pardon J6 folks

You don't. You subpoena him to testify against his father, uncle and any other relatives involved in the Biden crime syndicate.
