The Hunter Biden Thread

I'd pardon my kid too. This is more my issue

Joe Biden: "How dare Trump accuse the justice system of being weaponized against him."
Joe Biden: "The justice system was weaponized against my son Hunter."

He's a hypocrite, I'm not arguing he's not.

I'm simply pointing out that every one of us would be too in this situation. We'd pardon our kids and look to justify it with the path of least resistance.

Why would you just be a "good father" when you can give the middle finger to your detractors?

Suddenly the Trumpers want to lecture everyone from what they believe is high ground.

And Rage For The Machine wants to continue to Rage For The Machine by acting like he is Rage Against The Machine. What Biden is saying is that his own DOJ is being conducting lawfare on his son, which is exactly what the Biden administration and the Obama administration which he was a part of was doing to Trump. Nothing wrong with pointing this out.

Biden is trying to rewrite history, which is why they're trying to get a dismissal.

"not saying you are wrong" but then you go on to list reasons why you think I'm wrong.

I get it, no one likes Hunter or Joe. And Joe lied about not doing it, awful. As the trumpers in here like to remind us often, politicians are honest.

In all seriousness, Joe and Hunter are scumbags and Hunter deserves to choke on the long d*ck of justice just like any of us would.

But not a damn one of you wouldn't pardon your own son or daughter if the shoe were on the other foot. If you say you wouldn't, you're lying. That's why I'm amused by all of the faux outrage.

I'd do it and wouldn't bat an eye. I'd take care of my kids long before I worried about what a bunch of partisan hypocrites in DC thought about me, especially if I was an octogenarian who just got railroaded.
Yeah, but would you lie about it for months and months and have your people do the same? That’s the rub

I wouldn’t call that being railroaded.
If we were to talk about Primary Elections, Democrat voters were railroaded.

If we're talking about acting in the best interest of the people and a party serving the people through honesty, the American people were railroaded.

"Our president is as sharp as any president has ever been. No one can keep up with him. Also, he's been so mentally unfit that we threatened him with Article II in order to bypass the Primaries. Remember! A vote for us is a vote for Democracy and against the Dictator! Love ya! Mean it!"

Exactly, it wasn't Biden that got railroaded it was the Dem primary voters.

I think after 53 years I would be done covering for him.

My dad made it clear to me, once I was out of the house he went from protector/provider to helper/advisor. so maybe I was just raised differently and see things differently, but I can't imagine my dad providing this type of cover for me now even in my 30s if he had the power. He would give me advice, help if there was some paperwork to file or navigate some system; no way I would expect a literal get out of jail free card. at least if he knew I was guilty of at least some of the charges.

idk maybe Hunter is still lying to senile pops and has him convinced he is actually innocent of all charges. Thinking about that I could see as a factor, and that wasn't something I had considered.

I suspect that if I did something similar for my son, he'd probably inescapably appreciate it, but would probably also lose some measures of respect for me, as the lessons I tried to teach him on the little stages throughout his life would prove vacuous on the big stage.

If I were in a position to keep my son out of prison (minus a murder or rape) I'd do it and I think most fathers would. Where the stink comes from is the blanket pardon than covers a decade plus, that's not just looking out for your son that's covering your own crimes.
