It was not classified. It contained no classified information.

It was fraudulently labeled as such after the fact, when people started to complain about what Trump ha done.

At that point, Team Trump could not destroy the document. So they did the next best thing. They buried it.

Unfortunately for Trump, the whistleblower had enough integrity to report both the call and the illegal and fraudulent cover up.

Trump will be forced from office. And somebody, maybe more than one, is going to prison unless they give up Barr and Rudy.

Yep we all agree articles were levied in 1998 during his second term. She’s parsing Lindsay’s statement about the whole process starting with the 1994 Jones civil suit. Actual impeachment began in late 1998 I believe. The **** show adding to his public sympathy started in 1994 by the Yuge bigly miscalculation by the GOP. Which is what Lindsay was referring to.

It didn't contain anything relevant to national security or otherwise sensitive information. The Trump Administration will have to claim that this was their normal procedure and this particular call wasn't handled differently than others... that will be good enough to satisfy Trump supporters. It won't be good enough to satisfy anyone else.

Actually no. They have to explain nothing. The burden of proof resides on the accuser. And all original classification authority resides with POTUS

The transcript of the July 25th phone call between Trump and Zelensky confirmed much of what the whistleblower claimed had happened in the complaint filed with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence on August 12th. During the testimony of the acting Director of National Intelligence, Rep. Mike Turner (a Republican and a Trump advocate) said that:

"I've read the complaint, and I've read the transcript of the conversation with the President and the president of the Ukraine. Concerning that conversation, I want to say to the President. This is not OK. That conversation is not OK." - Rep. Mike Turner (Republican - Ohio 10th District)

This is not as much of a partisan condemnation as you are making it. This would have gone nowhere if the "whistleblower" had been wrong. He/She wasn't wrong. Whoever it is, had good sources close to the President.

The whistleblower expressly says that the label was fraudulent.

Plus, even after its release, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE is claiming it did contain classified material.

You cannot win this argument. By all accounts, the label was a fraud. All they need now is to find the person who told the whistleblower and the IG that the reason was to protect Trump.

Game. Over.

Trump didn't have to release the transcript of the July 25th phone call with Zelensky... but he did. It confirmed what the "whistleblower" had reported in the complaint.

You realize that all the President had to do was not release the transcript don't you? The President has this thing called "executive privilege" and it's a tough nut to crack.
