The Impeachment Thread

Figured as much.

Telling on yourself, with that response.

Snowden’s prosecution was appropriate. He was not a hero.

There were procedures that he could have followed before the nuclear option that he chose. There were things included in his disclosures that arguably put people in danger. Redactions could have been made if it had been handled through appropriate channels. It was reckless. He had some good intentions, and I tend to agree with his opinion that what he was seeing was repugnant, but the ends don’t justify the means and he went about it in entirely the wrong way, doing more harm to his cause than good.

He is one of two things that that whistleblower protections are designed to prevent. Which is why I’m bitching about Trump publicly trying to unmask the whistleblower and threatening punishment.

Hard to take ya'll seriously with your constant side stepping and inability to say if something is illegal for one government official, it is illegal for the others.

This would have been a better response if any of it was applicable to me.

Aren’t you the guy who tried to say solicitation of prosecution wasn’t a crime to try to defend Trump a few days ago?

Do you ever get tired of being wrong?

Who helped the whistleblower write his complaint?

Way, way, way too polished for your "normal" complaint.

As entertaining as all this is, it really would be nice if both sides would just stop investigating each other and get back to work for our country.

We’ve seen the “ actors “ that would be involved in that process ... are we sure that’s what we want ? I say let’s fire them all and start over .

Unless, he says, "I, Mike Pompeo, in my role as Secretary of State and with full sanction from the Donald Trump, in his role as President, am now actively being deceitful specifically about this issue in order to cover up a crime (fully explains the lie he is telling and why)" . . . . the Trumpers will always play this silly game of absolutes, because it allows them to continue defending their defense of the indefensible for another day.

It is pretty amazing. These folks can see pedo trafficing in pizza shops in cities they've never visited, but they don't know when one of their own lies blatantly in their face. No evidence can convince them or dissuade them because it is all a fantasy construct now.

Now the POTUS is actually calling Constitutional checks and balances treason. People need to wake up to fact that Trump's authoritarian impulses are a bigger threat to Democracy than either of the currently misshapen ideologies of the two major parties.
Great post.

Now was that so hard?

We have similar views on Snowden.

LMAO! So since the method described by Trump differs from the description on how calls are logged by the people who run this situation room THIS TIME you take him verbatim but continue to infer a bunch of crap and innuendo into the original released transcript. LMFAO!!! 🤣🤣🤣

I don’t know that anybody helped him. I don’t know that it’s too polished for a normal complaint. That all seems pretty speculative.

I’m not aware of any other publicly available whistleblower complaints against the President of the United States, particularly this President. There’s no real basis for comparison.
The guy is supposedly a CIA analyst who was placed in the White House. I would hope they send pretty smart people to work there.

Even if he wasn’t smart enough to put it together himself, who files a complaint against their boss and just half assed it?

We know he had a lawyer before the 14 day IG review was completed. The IG changed their form almost immediately after receiving the complaint. Put two and two together and he consulted with his lawyer before filing.

Yeah, because normal CIA Analysts know multiple case histories to cite...

Nothing seems fishy about that?

(Clue Dart, he had help and I'd hope that person had a clearance)

You know CIA, FBI, etc recruit out of law schools, right?

They do...

You still don't find the extreme detail curious? Or are you just going to pull the same mouthbreather act others are doing because you think this time they really got him?

BS she’s for abortion. Catholics oppose abortion.
You speak for every Catholic in existence? Didn't realize the Pope was a Vol fan.

I don't care what religion she is. But she's said she is Catholic. Again, I couldn't care less.
