Trump has confessed. The transcript proves it is true.

The whistleblower's bias, if any, is no longer an issue as what he reported has been proven objectively to be true.

The point of reaching out for foreign interference in the election (again) is enough for impeachment and Trump admits he did so. So does Giuliani.

The only question is whether there are other instances of misconduct by Trump or his administration demonstrating further such instances, or proving motive for particular acts, such as withholding of the military aid package, such that would cause the Senate to actually remove him.

Trump has been smarmy about that one. It is widely reported that he personally ordered that the aid be withheld and the timing of that is more than a little suspicious. There may be documentation of him doing that, and I would think if that occurred then Moscow Mitch would have to have a sit down wit Trump and give him the bad news.

He got himself. Its not the Dems' fault that Trump did this and it is not their fault for calling him out for doing so. If you go 100 m.p.h. in a 30 m.p.h. zone its not the cop's fault for writing you a ticket.

I wouldn't say it was a defense of Trump. It was a comparative situation, which had more than one interpretation depending on which law you took an excerpt from. And, I did admit I didn't get the interpretation exactly right. Something you chose to exclude since you remembered the other so well. Admission of erring...Something that falls very short on a handful of you in here.

Any whistle blower should expect blow back. Not saying that Trump's response is acceptable though. Just being realistic.

My point being: no matter how many built in assurances/protections to encourage whistle blowers to blow their whistles, there still will be blow back. Whistle blowers know this, or they should and so should you. They either have to be courageous to risk it or they have some other motivation.

I guess we will eventually see which it is, won't we?

Not really, at this point. The students who couldn’t have drafted that complaint with the relevant information and time to do the research were in the minority by the start of my third year of law school. I’ve worked with some good secretaries and paralegals who could have put that together, too. There are many lawyers who couldn’t have done it, but I don’t know anything about this guy that makes me think he’s a moron.

I do think it’s interesting that this theory is based on the presumption of an anonymous person’s inadequacy.

I have no illusions that they’ve “got him this time.” During the Mueller probe I realized that there is no objective criteria for his removal and that there are too many people who have reached the point of just not having a threshold.

I don’t think think there’s anything Trump could do, short of some Ashton Kutcher style reveal where he says he’s still a Democrat and you all got punk’d, that would make some of you support his removal from office.

If he gets removed, it will be because Biden tanks and McConnel sees a lane open up for a more stable, conservative candidate to fill his lane. Not going to happen.
