The Impeachment Thread

Thanks for the links quoting random people. Are you trying to say the Bush Administration had proper intelligence to invade Iraq? It's a simple yes or not. Obviously your little shot at the CIA left you nowhere else to go but up the Bush admins a**.
The article quotes congressional leaders. The fact is tenement never publicly said “this is not the right intel you should be looking at.” And by no means am I giving a pass to the Bush admin. Tenent, according to Bob Woodward, provided Cheney the intel the admin wanted to justify war, rather then the most reliable intel they had. I think Dick had a hard on for going into Iraq the moment he saw an opportunity and I think Georgie from the CIA gave him exactly what he needed to fool congress and the American People. I will never forgive GW, Cheney, or GT for hanging Colin Powell out to dry and destroying his credibility. Let alone the loss of life and treasure bc of this debacle of both intelligence and administrations. And if what Tenent now says is true, that he tried to convince the admin that they were not looking at the right intel, then he had the moral obligation to come forward to congress before we invaded to express his concerns.

Just an fyi here... Jim Jordan is a fringe player. If Trump continues to lean on guys like him, Mark Meadows and Devin Nunes, he's lost the center.

Which means put a fork in him.

For those keeping score at home, this is the same poster that was whining earlier today about Trump's growing support.

How about Bush was going to invade Iraq regardless but he had help from the intelligence services to make his case.

So is this where we get the Thought Police to keep up with intentions and "implicit"s? If we do, I want to make it a retroactive crime so we can look back at the past and have a really good time. Maybe we can dig some people up and hang them instead of accepting this is how it works.

If we aren't into accepting the status quo, then we need a really big cleanup ... particularly on the capitol hill aisle ... there's some really toxic stuff running loose there.

I don’t think it requires thought police to see a quid pro quo in that convo. Look at the conversation.

Trump: we do a lot for you. It hasn’t always been reciprocal...
Zelensky: we want to buy Javeline missiles.
Trump: I want you to do me a favor though.

...

Zelensky: I should get elected more often so I can talk to you.
Zelensky: I stayed in your hotel last time I was in DC.

I think zelensky would dress in drag and let Trump spank him with either of Obama’s “man of the year” copy of Time magazine while Stephen Miller filmed it.

(😂 Triggered?)

He’s a comedian. He played a president on TV and then got elected as leader of a country that’s at war with a near international superpower and which has a recent history of violent revolution. That man would probably Suck to keep money flowing from the US and EU, IMO.

And if that means we get to ask him to make the people of Ukraine more free and create a thriving capitalist, western democracy and build an alliance within spitting distance of Russia, I think we should absolutely take advantage of that. For the benefit of America. Not for the advantage of one individual American.

Not trying to lionize Obama or Bush but there have been a ton of former staffers of both to say publicly that this would have been unheard of under either administration.

Honestly, the fact that Trump supporters willingly fund his campaign AFTER it's been revealed he bribed a foreign country with YOUR tax money... this pretty much confirms they're idiots.

Grats.

I wanted blood too and actually had confidence in the Bush Admin. at the time.

We may disagree often but In that we agree...for me it didn’t take long for things to not add up in country.
I don't see how anything could make sense over there. We had CIA dropping off duffle bags of cash for just a sliver of intel and they weren't even seeking intel about WMD's. Hell, basically we implemented a WMD buyback program and that's where intl on that front came from.
