The Impeachment Thread

Hillary makes me bitter, but Bill, not so much. I'm just confused how he so obviously committed a crime that others would get punished for, but not him. I don't understand the reasoning.

Obstruction probably should be enough, but precedent set by the Clinton case suggests it isn't enough. Putting aside personal bias, don't you think precedent should carry some weight?

Not particularly. I think what should carry weight is what is acceptable conduct for the President of the United States, to you as an individual, at the time of the impeachment, and what’s best for the Country. When a supermajority agree that his conduct is impeachable, he should be removed. Full stop.

And FWIW there are distinctions between Trump’s obstruction and Clinton’s, as George Conway (who, like me, was in favor of removing Clinton). Trump’s behavior is recidivist and it was apparent from his unrepentant behavior that he would be a recidivist. Clinton’s behavior was unrelated to his job, Trump’s is in the performance of his duties as president. That’s Conway’s opinion. I still think Clinton should have been removed.

As far as right and wrong, it plays a part in my life, in the world I live in. I don't think it matters much in the world of politics. Most politicians face zero consequence for doing wrong. Just for an example, Elizabeth Warren lied for years about her heritage. Is her punishment running for President?

As I've stated before, I believe both sides are corrupt. So how do you hold any one person accountable when the system refuses to hold every one accountable? Who gets to pick and choose who has to follow the rules, and who slides?

I generally disagree with this. I don’t think the inability to impeach all of them should stand in the way of impeaching one if that has been caught doing wrong.

All JMO.

The bottom line is there is absolutely no evidence I’ve seen of any wrongdoing. All of these supposed attorneys on here are either lying or they are the worst attorneys in the world. I’m going with lying because if they are actual attorneys then they have to see this entire nonsense is based on opinions and conjecture. There is nothing of substance yet. It’s hilarious that they are accusing the Ukrainian President and the POTUS of lying but automatically believe anyone, including characters like Schiff, when those people say something they like.
Lawyers lie?

Your brothers come first. If you don’t have their backs they won’t have yours.
How do you feel about athletes looking the other way when their teammates rape someone or commit other crimes?

What about the Americans that tried to prevent the My Lai massacre and later spoke out about it? Traitors?

Comparing athletes to combat soldiers is a terrible comparison.

It starts in training, properly trained and disciplined soldiers don’t commit such acts. But in combat soldiers make mistakes and you don’t rat your brother out for a mistake.

He's going to have to testify because of his ties to Biden..was this a effort by the DNC and the Biden campaign to affect the outcome of the upcoming elections?

Or so they can come back and say they’re retaliating against the WB and win virtue points with the idiots that actually believe he’s credible.

Ciaramella worked with Chalupa on the Russia hoax but was also the head contact with Ukraine....Chalupa has already been implicated in the 2016 Ukraine collusion...like we have been saying all along this is an attempted coup IMG_20191010_155557.jpg
