The Impeachment Thread

You're hilarious. I hate the republicans, didn't vote for Trump, and won't vote for him next time.

I can just sniff a bag of **** from a mile away.

And you're carrying it for your democrats.
I won’t vote for him bc he’s bad at his job. And the reasons I think he’s bad are supposed to be Republican issues.

All I've said about Biden is that it's a bad look, and I'm interested to see how the Barr investigation turns out. Besides that, I was in a conversion asking whether Trumps withheld money was CONGRESSIONALLY MANDATED.

And then there was you...
The money Trump was threatening to withhold was absolutely mandated by Congress. Congress passed the aid package, he tried to hold it up. It is all right there in his summary of the transcript and the mouth-breathing, wild mutterings of Ghouliani.

Ok. How about the money Obama and Biden withheld. Was that CONGRESSIONALLY MANDATED as well? Is it your argument that the president doesn't have the right to withhold funds that Congress budgets? (Hint: I don't think "mandated" is the word for looking for.)

Nonsense.

He was acting on the behalf of US foreign policy, in agreement with our EU and NATO allies. So yeah, he was acting on behalf of the US government, with the congressional mandate behind him.

His son working for Burisma has nothing to do with anything. If this was the case, shouldn't the Trump offspring be shuttered away in a fort somewhere? I don't seem to read much about you guys having issues with their conflicts of interests on here. Or absolutely rampant nepotism. Hmm.
If the prosecutor was corrupt why was Burisma asking the State department for help in ending the investigation? Remember the talking point was that Shokin wasn't investigating it....then the prosecutor that replaced him settled with what was rumored to be a bribe one of the reasons Ukraine reopened the case

That funding was contingent on removing a dick dude from Ukraine that the EU and NATO wanted removed as well.

Not quite the same as "he might beat me next election, investigate him and son to give me political dirt then you get money."

Not sure why you guys can't grasp the difference in this, but partisan stuff I guess.

I'm on record saying that I would have no problem with Pence doing the EXACT SAME THING Joe Biden did as acting representative of US foreign policy about a matter that was agreed upon by the majority of US intelligence, EU intelligence, and our NATO allies concerning the prosecutor in Ukraine.

I'm also on record saying I have serious issues with Trump and friends trying to dig up dirt on a potential future political opponent by leveraging CONGRESSIONAL MANDATED funding for their own nefarious purposes.

The differences are astounding. Yet I'm the brainwashed one, tricked into supporting a candidate by those evil Commies in the MSM that I don't even want to win the nomination? Lmao
Got it. You’re unwilling or incapable of being honest about any Democrat no matter how small the admission might be.

That isn't the case at all. I just said I would be perfectly fine with Pence doing the same exact thing Biden did.

I've also said there won't be enough to convict Donnie of anything.

Then you are kidding yourself. There are no political consequences right now, for impeaching Trump. The public is in favor of it. There were only two defections last week on the vote in favor of the inquiry. That served as a de facto preliminary vote on impeachment itself. A test run, if you will.
Knock yourself out.

From your article: "In the last 30 months of President Obama’s term, manufacturing employment grew by 185,000 or 1.5%. In President Trump’s first 30 months, manufacturers added 499,000 jobs, expanding by 4.0%."

I don't think that counts as a "comeback", especially considering the massive loss of coal jobs in the same time period. Rebound, indeed.

Have you seen the jobs numbers? Manufacturing jobs are making a comeback.
I don't mean to bore you with facts, but the latest U.S. economic trends aren't positive at all. U.S. economic growth has slowed this year and the 3 percent growth that Trump promised last year was revised down to almost 2.5 percent.

Manufacturing job trends are also cooling. The latest U.S. jobs report showed manufacturing employment rose by an average of 8,000 per month so far in 2019, compared with an increase of 22,000 jobs per month in the manufacturing sector in 2018. The reality is, that other nations, with lower wages are the countries who are benefiting from Trump's tariffs strategy.

They will be excited when the primary season is over and it's time to focus on beating Trump. The right is underestimating how much unabashed hatred there is for Trump on the left. Democrats will crawl over broken glass to vote against him on November 3, 2020.
Au contraire. Conservatives and moderates know full well how crazy the left has become. Unlike your girl, President Trump will not take anything for granted. I'll bet he will even campaign in states he KNOWS he will win.

"Unabashed hatred" Very telling. Hopefully, he will win big, and put to rest once and forever the lunacy that the democrat party has become. Scrap heap of history.

The polls don't show that Trump's approval rating has ever risen above his core base of support. He has a low ceiling.

I didn’t ask about some BS hypothetical situation with Pence.

I asked if you could admit the Biden / Ukraine situation is a bad look and at a minimum gives the appearance of a conflict of interest.
