The Ink is Dry on the Contract!!!

For those of you with short memories, do you not remember what he told the Gatornation when rumors of him going to the Redskins started swirling? Ahhh yes, now I remember. IT IS A DONE DEAL! ALREADY OVER EXCEPT FOR THE PUBLIC STATEMENT ON MONDAY A.M.!!

Public statement Monday? I thought it was going to be tomorrow. Guess I'll have to not care for another 3 days now. :ermm:

nah, they've been saying it's coming after the bowl are announced on Sun. night, so probably Monday at the earliest. Some of the rumours out there are great. I read one last night that said Chris Smelly (Spurrier's hot 4* QB signee in last year's class) has requested a transfer application to Bama.

Yeah. The Bama boards are starting to run dry on this rumour as reality seems to be setting in. If there IS a Spurrier-Moore meeting today and SOS does not follow-up with an immediate and unequivocal statement that he is not taking the job then I'll continue to consider it a possibility.

Hillbilly, what frat were you in?

This is NOT a rumor and remember who told you first. The 7 year 29 million dollar contract was signed between Steve Spurrier and the University of Alabama last night shortly after 10:00 p.m. After the bowl game announcements Sunday it will be publicly announced at a press conference. I wanted to spill it earlier on here but I wanted a 2nd confirmation, one in the Athletic Department and another from the Law Firm that drew it up. Thank you Vols, and have a nice Day!!! :dance2:

Are your sources reliable????

Tusk did invoke the "I've been drinking margaritas with my buddies defense" later in the thread. I'm still in wait and see mode.

Once again reading comprehension comes into play. I said I was out celebrating AFTER we found out the news, not before. And I never have more than 6 or 7 margaritas at lunch anyway.

Spurrier has already made up his mind!
