The Ink is Dry on the Contract!!!

This is NOT a rumor and remember who told you first. The 7 year 29 million dollar contract was signed between Steve Spurrier and the University of Alabama last night shortly after 10:00 p.m. After the bowl game announcements Sunday it will be publicly announced at a press conference. I wanted to spill it earlier on here but I wanted a 2nd confirmation, one in the Athletic Department and another from the Law Firm that drew it up. Thank you Vols, and have a nice Day!!! :dance2:

Who is your source? Is it Peter Pan, the Easter Bunny or Santa Claus himself? I've always heard that Alabama fans are delusional, but this is getting to be hilarious. Do you realize how idiotic the entire state of Alabama has become this week? The only people convinced of this report are living in Bammerland. My goodness, even the media are delusional.

If Steve Spurrier is announced as the......help me with this hat, TFHCOTUOAAT, he just pulled his players into a team meeting to lie to them.

WLTX-TV News, Weather, Sports for Columbia and the Midlands of South Carolina

Rev, you have so talked smack on here - you just like to act like you take the high road when it suits you.

Fwiw....I don't buy the Spurrier BS.
I don't either, but IMO if Spurrier is going to leave he's going to go to Miami....JMO...I don't know if I was you all if I'd want Rodriguez(sp.) or not.....Don't know how good he is against top shelf competition...Sounds like he's a good recruiter though

I remember when Tommy Tubs told his players
"only way I leave oxford is in a pine box"

TFHCOTUOAAT....translation please.

Let me see if I can get this straight without hatvol as an interpreter.

TFHCOUOAAT = The Future Head Coach of the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa.

12, you've got to admit it, the hysteria swirling around Spurrier to Alabama has gone overboard down there, right? It is one thing to want a coach badly, but there's no since in making a fool out of the school over it. Spurrier has a limited amount of time left to coach at age 61 anyway.

p.s. Don't ever change that avatar. It's choice.

Living in MS I am lucky enough to dodge the Spurrier Syndrome. It has gone WAYYY overboard, and I admit I was exicted at first. It's a tough program to coach for, and I wouldn't want to be
overshadowed by anyone, anywhere. Spurrier has it made where he is at, he would be foolish to leave, not to mention a LIAR. Good look on the title hunt Cocks, we need more beef in the east to whip them Vols every year.:)

Yeah, Stevie was a real pain in our butt this year - oh, wait - no, the Vols beat him and the roosters at home. I'm just quaking in my boots - not!

He is not going anywhere. Spurrier met with his players this afternoon and told them that he is not leaving South Carolina.

This comes from one of the players that was in the meeting.

Well, at least following this Spurrier-Bama story gave us all a few days worth of something to talk about. Also, I think it was imperative for Bama to go after Spurrier with everything they have. At least now they know that they gave it their best shot and came up short so no Bammer can point the finger at the administration for not making an effort at an A-list coach.

I think we will land RR from W. Virginia. What does everyone think about him?

I'd say that he's just plain nuts leaving a solid WVU program that he's built up. Not to mention leaving the Big Easy where you're almost always guaranteed a BCS bowl and 10+ win season as long as you field a halfway decent team.

Now why would he want to leave that for a shipwreck of a program like Bama? I guess you could say money, but that's about it.
