I've just watched Obama's NC victory speech.

He demonized Republicans, the rich, corporations, etc. then had the audacity (yes I said it) to claim that Republicans will run a race that attempts to name call, divide and smear

Who is falling for this? How can you name call, divide and smear then claim you are different from the ones you claim will do this.

If you want to be different - don't practice the politics as usual that you condemn.

Good rant VBH.

On a side not, the NC results were rigged. TennNC voted for Obama 245,187 times.

VK is busy at dinner right now with Michael Moore. :)

:lolabove:

OMG, like, I hate that Moore guy and by hate I mean I really really disagree with him. I feel confident that if I had five minutes with Moore I'd have him curled up in the fetal position sobbing. He's an utter jackass, seriously.

I can't believe that the democrats will blow a chance at the WH for three straight elections!

The majority of Clinton supporters will go to McCain.

IMO this election will be about two things, the economy and the war.....and the republicans will lose big.

you've apparently overlooked the lack of experience in the Dems and the overall unpalatable nature of the pair.

Socialism is not a big seller, regardless of candidate. Those issues aren't ever going away.

I don't know, I think you have a good point. People are all angry and looking for the answer, it's possible.

Well then I guess it doesn't matter that the Libs have held congress for the past two years. They have no ownership of the economy or the war? Puhlease.

While Dems should walk away big time, just by the shear math of D's to R's, and with history on their side as well. I would say unless they run together, can't see them winning "big" with the massive negatives they've aquired thru this process. If HRC gets the nod over BHO with the super-delegates help, the black vote will be non- existant. BHO holds on gets the nod in the end, I seriously doubt he gets any of the "Reagan Dems", when you've got a moderate like McCain running. Can he win with just the black vote, and how many young people show up on election day. With this, the craziest election process ever, anything can happen, no doubt. But with these choices, I can't see anyone running away and hiding with this election.

Obama's inexperience, along with his relationships with Ayers (a known terrorist) and Wright (a delusional seperatist) will destroy him in a general election against a former pow and long-time senator.

I actually realllllllly like Obama, but not as POTUS
but you have to like him less the more you learn about who his associates are. I know in the political arena he can dismiss thie relationships, but reality says that he and / or his wife share many views with the fringe lunatics.

I am certainly with you on alot of this, is it me, or do you see this also. BHO almost seems child like to me. Pleasant, naive, innocent almost. I remember at the start of the election process when HRC was the shoe in, listening to a interview with a Democratic insider talk about all the candidates, and talked about Obama being the ultimate Dem voting wise, basically told vote this way, vote that way. Almost like a puppet, where as his wife seems to me at least, the ultimate radical. The more I here her speak and read some of her papers, I dont doubt for a second she is the living embodiment of Wright, Ayers, Dorn, the whole down with American and 60's radical politics. It wouldn't suprise me in the least, that 10-15 years from now, some story comes out about Michelle Obama being the driving force behind all his radical ties and political relationships. Just my opinion.

Exit polling indicated the economy was the #1 issue. Combine that with the unpopular Iraq war I expect lots 0f incumbents to lose in 08, particularly Republicans.

IMO it will be a repeat of the 06 election.

Everyone knows the deficit spending for the Iraq War is hurting the dollar. And the democrats are more against the Iraq War then the Republicans.

Republicans have controlled the white house the last 8 years and Congress 6 of the last 8 years. The sitting President is the most unpopular in history. IMO incumbents and particularly republicans will lose big.

Once again, Congress has lower approval numbers than Bush. And if the incumbents lose their seats, I think that benefits the R's. Dems like to think that the '06 election was a mandate against Iraq, but it had more to do with the R's (including Bush) spending out of control. Most Americans realize that even if you didn't agree with the reasons for going in, to pull out is madness. The economy will be a major issue, but I have a feeling immigration will rear its head before November. If Obama is nominated and continues to weaken on the polls, that will hurt the Dems running for office. If you think Obama's associations won't hurt the other Dems running, you're crazy.

The sitting President is the most unpopular in history.

That's not true either. He's close, but he still doesn't have the lowest approval rating ever. Harry Truman (22%) and Richard Nixon (24%) have the lowest approval ratings ever recorded.
