And how did we lose those games to ATM UK and UF? Def post play had a role in that. They play well in the post but I would take Kansas post over ours any day. That's the type if play I expect from these guys every game
While they are certainly different style players - what I have seen this year has not led me to believe that Jordon McCray is a better basketball player than Marshall Henderson. McCray has a much better supporting cast, and made 6 of 7 uncontested shots without Richardson draped over him. I don't want to go back and check, but I don't think Henderson was 1 for 15 with no assists and 14 running wayhoo shifters against Florida either.
McCray can do things that Henderson can not - but Henderson can do a few things that nobody else can do.
Where would Ole Miss be without Henderson? Where would we be without Jordon? Last night I thought they both played well - albeit they both forced a few shots.
McCray is a talent but doesn't always get it and apparently the coaches struggle to help him get it.
Go back and watch the Florida game and his shot selection along with his passing and distributing of the ball. Shooters gotta shoot, but not necessarily 20 times a game, jumping sideways, while they are double teamed. Meanwhile Stokes is inside, virtually unstoppable, and only taking 5 or 6 shots.
Just my take.
C'mon you're smarter than that. They're predictable man, somehow always missing after wins.
I had this discussion last night. Henderson can be phenomenal. He is a pure shooter, who can get hot on any given night, and that roll is hard to stop. But, he can't beat good teams by himself. Buckner and Holloway were huge inside last year when OM made their run.
Now, you were comparing him to McRae. McRae can't win by himself either. I think they both equally take wild shots, but the difference is Henderson seems to make more than McRae. I will point you to last year's UGA game on the road as to an example when McRae can get hot (even though we lost). McRae went on a great run last year. I am not sure if we really have to decide if one is better than the other- just enjoy both during their last year. Obviously, as a Vol, I will root for McRae more, and I think his head is on straight.
It's the same stuff every post game. It's either "I told you so. Y'all are stupid" type BS with a win or a "we are still tourney bound CCM is never at fault" with a loss.I'm always here, never run away win/lose, can't say that for some people. If that's being predictable, well then I'm happy to be.

Like I've said already, CCM has until the selection committee end their last time card for me to endorse him to be fired so I'm not one of your "negatives" that appears for a loss only.
The reason you never see my SN between games can be seen in the first paragraph.
How many times have I said this.
I don't post in the game threads regardless. I'm on this board win or lose, if you haven't figured that out by now that's your problem.
The fighting martins are very good at what they do. Script follows something like this:
1) Talk CCM & team up during Fball season with threads like 'only 57 days until bball season' after a miserable football loss.
2) Talk about the potential of this team and how anything less than a Sweet 16 would be disappointing.
3) Once season gets started and team doesn't appear to be all that, start slowly lowering expectations by talking about 'RPI' and comparing CCM's record to CBP's.
That being said...I'm not calling for CCM to be fired, or pulling against this team. However, if they fail to make noise in the tourney (not the NIT), then one has to seriously consider the path this program is on.
To all the fighting martins out there, I would ask the following: Do you honestly feel like this program is headed in the right direction after 3 years of CCM at the controls??

He doesn't post during the game. If you look at when he post you might figure that out.
If you had basic reading comprehension you would see that he said he doesn't post in the game threads win or lose. I would assume that would mean once the game had been won or lost. He posted 10 times in the Ole Miss thread after they won and zero in the UF thread after they lost. So his post about people disappearing after the team wins is a bit hypocritical.
That's very interesting considering that you posted 10 times in the Ole Miss game thread and zero in the Florida game thread. Pretty easy to look up.
Just saying.
