The Knechtion

Kenect is such an awesome VFL! What a great gift that will be worth lots of money for her one day.

That's awesome DK! She (and her parents) will remember that for the rest of their lives! I remember couple years ago Cordelle Patterson giving a ball to a kid because when he walked past she was crying. He stopped, ask why she was crying and the mom said some others had gotten a ball and she didn't. He kindly said "well let's get that girl a ball" and he signed it IIRC. THAT is what creates good will for players!

This the type of playesr Barns wants to play for us. We are so fortunate to have hims our coach. Their are not a lot of players, especially rookies, who would do what DK did.

This was a game where both headline Rookies made big impacts. Edeys boxscore is not that impressive but its more about what he did to AD's box score. DK was in the zone and them leaning on him this early in the season and walking away with a win speaks volumes. I might have to rethink the rookie of the year race now.. because most of the rookies are playing like doodooo. If DK can take this breakout game and build on it he's in the race for sure along with Dunn in Phoenix and the 2 Memphis rookies.

Watch out for Donavon Clingon (sp?) in Portland, starting to figure it out in Portland, got a double/double last game. Plenty of playing time for a bad Blazers team. McCain in Philly has been going off, too. But, if Dalton continues to shoot like last night, you never know. He had a a couple of big assists, rebounds and a steal, last night, too.

good point on Clingan. DK is well on the way of locking down the role of 6th man its really between him and Reddish and that's really gonna be about what they need most defense or offense..but there is a world where the Lakers move D'angelo at the trade deadline for a big and make a spot in the starting lineup for DK.

Actually this is the second game in a row DK has started over D'Angelo.. not sure if its a matchup thing or if Russel lost his job. But, DK is playing well so he ain't trying to lose that job. DK is starting but in both games, they closed the game with Russell on the floor.

Think we will gradually see Knecht get more looks. He compliments AD and LBJ perfectly, and he already has their trust. JJ has to be excited about just how elite of a scorer Knecht could be.

I've really enjoyed watching him play so far!
