Like has been said, big companies dont mind the wage increase. They can absorb it or cut loose and automate.
Meh, you can't get away with that in a lot of places that do tip share now. The tips are determined by total ticket sales. So you have to pay a certain percentage towards tips no matter if you made that minimum amount or not, meaning there are instances where you could actually lose money working if the tips are not good enough.Our employee rule of thumb back in day was report enough tips to get you to at least minimum wage per hour. I suspect our GM knew that was the worker's approach but they never said anything.
