The longer Hart stays quiet the worse for Dooley

They know.. It's been discussed.. They're playing the year out.. I just can't help but feel Vandy has a huge underrated weapon this week.. Dooley's game management..

Our lack of pass rush combined with our lack of safety help really bothers me.

For me it will be the "next coach" until it isn't.

I've never been a 100%, but I'm safely 80%.

I think there is a definite misinformation campaign in full force right now.

Do you see anything which could cause things to fall apart? Maybe something which hasn't been worked out on our end or another job becoming available?

The line play has been disappointing.. The linebacker play has been disappointing.. I don't think you could pick any area and not say it hasn't been disappointing...

Is there anyone on the depth charts or on the offensive side of the ball who could bring more speed to the linebacker positions?

We don't have a money problem. Anybody that thinks we do is clueless.

I see this a lot. Hart has publically stated the AD does have a money problem. The books of the AD are also public knowledge, so this is easily confirmed.

So the only way there is no money problem is if a wealthy booster decides to front for us.

The way I see it, they may, or may not. I have no actual idea. But I do see a lot of folks that are (IMO) assuming we don't "because the wealthy donors will take care of it".

I think that's an assumption....guess we'll find out.

Hence my 80%. It may be a done deal. There are too many variables for me.

I promise it is not an assumption. Money's have been made available for buyouts and new coaches.

The real problem with the OP is that I don't know if things could get any worse for Dooley. At this point it almost seems unfair to keep him hanging on.

This.

Right now, it would be a piece of mercy, for both the fans and Dooley himself.

My fear? Two days after Kentucky we are still looking, hoping, waiting for news...I am really starting to doubt that Dooley is going anywhere. If I have ever wanted to be dead wrong, this is it...

My only fear is Haslam buying the Browns. Is he and his money more focused on that.

Unfortunately, I listened to one of the sports talk shows this morning a this dude called in and stated that as a tax payer, he had the wright to be informed as each step of the decision to retain or fired Coach Dooley develops. It is hard to understand have people who are suppose to be adults can make such stupid statements.

I think even most of them can see the train coming down the tracks at them.

I've never seen an entire stadium turn on a coach like at the end of regulation on Saturday.

As it should have....that was the worst decision I've seen a coach make in a long long time....it was as if he wanted to lose

Got to be honest. I booed and its the first time I can ever remember booing Vol player or coach, ever. It was that bad.

You're 0-6 in the SEC. What the hell have you got to lose??

Fortunately my kids weren't home as I let some obscenities fly.....I still get pissed thinking about it

You can see it in Dooley's face and game management. He knows he's done, so why not make it public and give everyone a chance to move on?? Losing wouldn't sting near as bad, if it was made certain he wasn't coming back, which most people with common sense know he's not coming back. Stalling is doing no one any good.

They don't need to announce it formally.... Everyone knows he's gone

If it's common knowledge, then just get it done with. I know, you know, a lot of people do, but you may energize the fanbase back, and pick back up some cash for the KY game, if you do. Fan apathy is running wild, and it needs to stop. People just don't see direction publicly, other than down the crapper.

Truth, but I've also never seen a Tennessee coach quit like that before. I do think Dooley is a good man and I think he's probably a great administrator, but I believe we could have had a random drawing in our section on Saturday and picked any one of a bunch of fans who could have called the last 2 minutes of regulation better.

40+ years of Vol football under my belt, so I've seen us out-talented plenty of times, but Saturday may take the cake on being out-coached.
