Also, comparing Dooley to Martin is silly. Martin's accomplishments blow them out the water.

I defend Martin and keep saying Tennessee will make the tournament this season.

However, having said that.....what accomplishments?

Tennessee had it 15-15 with 9 minutes to go in the first half.

How is that not having your team ready?

The adjustments were awful but it was single digits at halftime.

Stokes and Maymon had 10 of those 15. Again, they were the only 2 that showed up today.

Having a 59% winning percentage as a head coach in your 6th year is not an accomplishment.

Agreed.

Sec schedule in football is a different animal than in basketball.

For the last couple of years, there have been only two schools worth a damn.

The sec is rated as what, the 7th best conference in the country. The sec is to basketball what the mountain west is to football

Man it is pretty bad when a gator fan is on here trying to talk some sense into CCM lovers. Like another guy said, he seems like a nice guy and all, but he isn't taking us to the tournament and the roster is only going to get worse in the future.

Martin has been disappointing but people act like he's an under .500 coach.

He's not some horrible idiot some portray him to be.

CCM is a great guy. Nobody is arguing that. He's just not the person I want as my team's basketball coach.

Fans want their team in the NCAA tourney. 19 wins and a NIT appearance is a failed season.

can't defend the basic pick and roll or run it. Haven't been able to since he got here.
He and the entire staff should be embarrassed that their players and team don't know the basis of getting penetration and open shots. Did McRae have an open shot all night? Actually, I remember one. going left on tv, he came around 2 picks from the baseline and got an open 3 from the wing which he hit. I don't recall another open look or lane to the basket. Stokes and McRae should be able to clear out a side and run pick and roll just like florida did repeatedly on us, yet our srs still haven't been taught how to defend or run it.

1. Stokes was the highlight of the day. Continued to up his stock.
2. Pearl speech about Pat Summit was the second best thing of the game.
3. Nothing more.

What a game to forget. I now know how UVA felt when we thumped them. I said that to myself during the game, and quietly thought about how UVA has responded afterwards. Literally 30 seconds later, Jimmy Dykes makes the same point. Will this be our turnaround too? Did we need to get thumped to wake us up? I sure hope so.

McRae was awful. Worst game since he became a starter. Wilbekin ate his lunch.

Richardson was awful. His worst games have been during our biggest opportunities to impress the committee.

Barton was awful.

Maymon was awful.

Bench was awful.

3-pointers should rarely be our answer. We can dominate the paint (when we hit our layups). Unfortunately, we stray from that too much in adversity. Coaches need to rein that in. Just a bad game all around. Florida was quicker, better defensively, better coached, and just simply interested (we weren't by the way).

6. Lack of bench is due to his lack of recruiting SEC type players. He has been recruiting mostly Missouri Valley players in the past.

Missouri Valley players on average might be better than most SEC players this year. Entire conference is down, which makes losing this year more painful.

Tweet from Mark Pancratz that pretty much sums up one of this staff's major issues that I don't see changing:

@MarkPancratz: I used to watch a lot of tape and I'm still trying to determine what we were running vs FL's zone. FL has a chance to make the Final 4

obviously, you work the middle of the court near the SEC logo and ft line once with Stokes and once with Reese. Not with jrich, mcrae, or maymon. Twice, with the 2 players that are most limited with the ball there.
