The only part I didn’t like was the blue guy at the beginning, like he was a blue alien but sounded like some dorky 40 year old guy. It didn’t match at all

I think the Client is going to end up being one of the founding members of the First Order. So eager to see how this story is going to go, especially with the 50 year old baby.......anyone think that may be a clone? Does the timing line up?

That is very interesting. So I have gone down the nerd rabbit hole a bit. Found this on Timeline of galactic history

And this in a different article...Star Wars timeline – The complete chronology from Phantom Menace to Rise of Skywalker

The Mandalorian - 10 ABY

They said that the target was 50 years old, so the timeline does work out. Very interesting

First episode was pretty good. Felt like star wars..minus the blue fish dude at the beginning..that felt more like Star Trek.

Agree. When someone above said he felt off my initial thought was he was more Star Treky. But we got our first glimpse of a toilet in the far away galaxy thanks to him.

I thought the trailers made it look darker than it turned out to be. I’m ok with that. It’s more in line with the OT. I feel more comfortable watching with my kids now.

Fun tidbit for you theorists

The Dr. guy who tells the Mando to take the subject alive has a Kaminoan Cloning patch on his arm

The second episode was ok I guess. Doesn’t feel like we advanced the story much.

They are going to get some push back from making us wait a week for 30 minute episodes. We don’t really live in a “30 minute episode” world anymore these days.

Only thing I am disappointed with so far is the short episodes. If you are going to drip it to me weekly, it has to be at least an hour long episode.

So is it Yoda and we're to believe the Jawas have been using the same kind of vehicle for 900 years? Or is that a clue that it's not Yoda?

What did I miss that explained that?

I'm not sure it was actually addressed in the first episode. It was put out there by Disney awhile back -

Favreau has said that The Mandalorian is set five years after the fall of the Empire in Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983) and 25 years before the rise of the First Order, the authoritarian regime that is firmly in control of the galaxy when Episode VII: The Force Awakens (2015) begins

You should check out Mr. In-Between on FX. Best use of 30 minutes in television.

So it's Yoda's bastard!
