The Mandalorian

If it’s after Jedi, then why couldn’t the Mandalorian explain the force? I assume that’s what took place with the egg. I would think a bounty hunter would be familiar.

A nerd friend of mine said the clues are that he refused imperial credits and that his ship is "pre-empire" but you make a great point.

When I saw the Jawas I wondered if they were on Tattooine. Then when the Mandalorian had to go into the cave to retrieve the egg I was like "holy **** we're going to get to see a Krait dragon!"

So I guess so far this has been on tatooine? I assume so since there were Jawas.

In the OT though they made several comments and such about how the "Jedi" are extinct and a memory, and in ANH Tarkin tells Vader he's all that is left. I could see that some by this time never really heard of it, or it's just a legend. He certainly probably has never actually seen someone use the Force.

I’m not sure any species is locked to any particular planet. I feel like I’ve seen Jawas in other places.

This seems odd to me. It appears the Mando tribes are trying to hold onto their culture. There was a major war between the Jedi and the Mandos. I have a hard time believing they would have allowed the Empire to completely erase that history. Even if the main character had never witnessed a force user I would he had hear legends.

Yeah but hearing and seeing are quite different. If he’s never witnessed the Force being used, he may not exactly know what it looks like.

True.... but his comment that he had “No idea” seemed off. Granted he is still looking at the baby Yoda as a baby.
