The Mandalorian

My goodness. It's really becoming laughable the way they pander to feminist. My goodness. That last episode was just ridiculous.

JFC you people are insufferable. You're the type that will complain about how everyone "is offended" yet turn around and constantly b**** about every thing you consider so obviously triggering to your delicate sensibilities. I'm sorry, is there not enough telling the women to get in the space kitchen and make some sandwiches to make you feel like a man?

Actor may not have been available to film that day.
I think this is where golfer was saying forced "girl power". If they purposely took him out to have girl power then it's ok to question it imo. The build up of these female characters justified the 4 woman team but I can see where people could cry foul. It's avengers fault really

The huge difference (along with the last trilogy) is it's not overwhelmingly forced. Each of the female characters have been in supporting roles throughout both seasons and the whole "girl power" thing hasn't ever been mentioned nor really hinted at. Now, I will agree the four of them storming the bridge probably was more fan service than not, but it certainly stands in stark contrast to Endgame. (no pun intended lol)

The Mandalorian also stands in contrast to Episodes VII-IX where men were obviously "bad" and couldn't do anything right. (looking at you, Rian Johnson) This series shows them as equals without the overarching stereotypes of patriarchy and other such subtle hints. Also, two of the four main supporting women (Bo-Katan and Ahsoka) already existed prior to this series, so they were already well established with the fans and their badassery was already known. They fit in well.

I did like the addition of Cara Dune and Fennec Shand. They added depth to the cast and I don't think they could have picked a better actress than Ming-Na Wen to be a contract assassin. Again, equals to and complimenting Mando as characters rather than because they were female.

I mean if one is looking to be offended by something then you can search for anything to scratch that itch.

Nah... he was complaining they could all shoot too well and none got wounded by Stormtroopers. He probably didn’t even remember there was a guy with them last time. He was straight up snowflaking.

Either way, its accurate. Can't wait to see the midget and tranny jedis for next season.
wow. people really need something to bitch about. i'm a fan of Katee Sackhoff, does nice job.

dont see any issue. actually thought while watching how cool it is to have that nostalgia feeling like did as a kid, thinking my girls now have a connection to star wars. i'm excited for them and all girls.

dont be that guy.

So...

A couple of things that have me curious about Season 2 and the overall direction of the show. I mean, other than those women a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away not fixing Ganza eggs and Nuna sausage for breakfast for all those heroic males in their galaxy.

Anyway...

First is centered on Boba Fett and his armor. He knew Cobb Vanth had his armor and Fett was on Tatooine, why did he wait so long and track down the Mando to get it when he easily could have fought for or asked for it back a long time before?

And what was he doing in the five years or so between the time he escaped from the Sarlacc and the series?

Again, the question about Bo-Katan and the Darksaber. Sabine Wren gave it up without a fight in Rebels. Now she has to fight for it in order to prove she's the Mand'alor?

Furthermore on the Darksaber, going all the way back to The Clone Wars, if Pre Vizsla had it, why not show the Mandalore people and claim his rightful place as ruler during the Clone Wars? Or before? Serious continuity issues between three series now centered on the Darksaber.

Ahsoka and her quest for finding Grand Admiral Thrawn. Certainly a direction for her spinoff series, but what happened to Ezra Bridger? If Thrawn survived, it seems possible Bridger survived as well.

And when (if) they introduce Thrawn into a live action series, who do they get to play him? I always thought a younger Jeremy Irons would have been perfect for the role. But then again, he might be able to pull it off now too since ten years have passed since the end of Rebels and the Mandalorian.

What else has Ahsoka been up to since the end of Rebels and now?

What bigger part does the Frog Lady have? They spent way too much time on her just to be a vehicle for the plot and not have her a bigger role in the future. Then again, she could be like Peli Motto and just have a limited appearance in Season 3.

Why do I get the feeling Fett and Shand are going to reach out to Mayfeld in their new series?

Don't think we've seen the last of Greef Karga either. Or Doctor Pershing for that matter. Possible tie in to the last trilogy?

Just a few things. I've had time to digest.

I've wondered about the armor thing myself. He was right there on the same planet. I assume some of that back story will be fleshed out in the Book of Boba Fett.

There is definitely some inconsistency there with the Dark Saber. Gotta drive the drama somehow.

I really hope a real life Ezra Bridger shows up in Ashoka. I think a live action Grand Admiral Thrawn is imminent, it will be interesting to see who they get. I think Jeremy Irons would be fantastic in the role.

I'm fine if I never see frog lady again.

Mayfield is a great character. I'd love for him to be part of Fett's syndicate.

There is that clone aspect in TROS, maybe that comes into play with the Dr.
