The (many) indictments of Donald Trump

Fact is, Trump is a fraud, business and otherwise. And his antics are starting to catch up with him.

STARTING.

Dude is in his 70s and rich as hell since I was kid in the 80s. He made it through multiple recessions. Multiple bank collapses. If his business is a fraud, he is the best fraud ever since he’s made it 50 plus years.

Trump's arraignment is going to coincide with taco Tuesday. Usually not a fan of Tacos al Pastor, but tacos made of orange-colored fattened pork seems incredibly fitting.

He's a horrible human being. His antics are embarrassing. I think the whole fraud angle is mostly a contrived narrative, but whatever. But this is about the Stormy Daniels payoff!? Is this really where you want to go after a former President? Really? This prosecution is going to be a **** show of a fishing expedition and come off as completely political and it's not worth the effort or the backlash. I get that you want to string up Trump, but you know this is going to be a circus vs a couple of other cases like the GA election case that may have actual meat on the bone.

No they don’t, there was no great scheme to overthrow the election. It’s a complete fairytale

The self made tycoon persona is a fraud. He inherited several hundred million dollars from his dad over 70+ years. He could have invested half that money in an index fund and the other half on hookers and blow and he'd be significantly wealthier than he is right now....

With all that being said, this prosecution is absolute BS....

I still find it hilarious when the same people call him stupid and a lifelong criminal. I don't recall many dumb criminals making it into their 70s without ever being charged with a crime so he must be the smartest criminal ever or just a dumb honest businessman.

I think you're probably right and that it's mostly Trump just running his mouth and having too big of an ego to admit defeat. But that Raffensberger phone call was awful and at least that's a situation that one could justify looking into vs. dredging up the Stormy Daniels situation again.

No.

IT IS NOT ABOUT THE PAYOFF.

It is about directing a scheme to hide the payoff for campaign purposes and doing so by falsely booking it as attorneys fees.

But that is just this one. Have you seen the recent reporting on Mar-a-Lago? That AFTER a subpoena received for the documents Trump went through them, to hold back specific ones.

Why do that? The others who were found to have inadvertently kept classified documents bent over backwards to return them. Why did Trump resist? What is in those particular documents he did not want us to see?

That's the big story of his undoing.

I get it. But do you really think an accounting maneuver is the hill to plant your flag on when going after an ex-President? We'll have to wait to see the indictment, but surely there's more than that crack with hopes of finding more in discovery.

Of course . . . there may be no need for discovery if they just sit back and wait . . .

Former President Donald Trump will be arraigned in his criminal case on Tuesday afternoon. Then, just hours later, he’s planning to hold a press conference.
Who thinks that's a good idea? Please people . . . find another guy to support in the primary.

Trump speaking? Not sure it's ever a good idea
This many years into the Trump experiment, I don't know what he could possibly have left to say that would turn off his supporters. It's like the movie The Campaign came to life.

It's the people sending him $4 million dollars, supporting his 2024 run, and turning out for his pep rallies who are the issue.
Are they really though? On some level, what keeps him relevant is the amount of effort his opponents pour into trying to bury him. If you just ignore him, he's the old angry guy in the corner who marginalizes himself every time he speaks.

"Fraud" may be going too far, but his golf and resort properties are definitely not prosperous as he lead viewers of The Apprentice to believe. He has had numerous failures, including Trump Taj Mahal, Trump University, Trump Steaks, the Trump Hotel in DC ...

He also inherited much more money from his father, than what he has claimed in the past. His two most successful business endeavors have been Trump Tower in Manhattan, and his stint as host of The Apprentice.

Do you remember when the democrats loved Trump, and even their darling Oprah asked him once when he was going to run for president? Of course that was when he was a democrat, once he changed to the republican party he was hated by the left.

One would have hoped. Repubs had numerous opportunities to correct their own error.

In a way, it boils down to this:
“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing,”

Millions were not willing to sit idly by. (and I believe that was the appropriate call)

I was 100% for DeSantis now just for pure spite I'm leaning Trump. I see you leftist as the issue
That is exactly what you should do.

Out of pure spite for Democrats, you should definitely vote for the one and only Republican Party candidate in the primary field that Joe Biden can beat. That makes perfect sense.

Yep my dad can’t stand him and gets so frustrated into the democrats trying to turn him into some kind of martyr….. if they would just shut up….he would push people away.
