The (many) indictments of Donald Trump

That is absolutely ridiculous. Porn and stripping are not the same thing as being in legitimate movies.
I must be missing something here. Who cares if one is a porn star and one is a nun? What they did was the same thing - cheat on their wives. It’s not like it’s somehow more noble to cheat with an accountant than it is to cheat with a hooker.

You still fear Trump just like all Dims. I’d vote for the guy that’s been impeached by Dims, indicted by Dims, because they fear him. He’s in their way in destroying the country, that’s why he’s in the news since he came down the escalator.
You think Democrats fear someone who they just defeated? You think Democrats fear someone who just had one endorsed candidate after another lose in battleground states such as Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona and Nevada during the 2022 mid-term elections?

That's absurd.

Trump being the nominee of the Republican Party is our only hope in 2024. To the contrary of being afraid ... I'm rooting like hell for the guy in the Republican Party primary. I honestly believe that he is the only Republican that Biden can beat - and he will.

I was only talking about their careers! Not what Monroe was rumored to have done.

great job on turning a guy that was fading into political history into the biggest media circus of 2023. Just brilliant strategy here

This is definitely political by Dem standards and practices. Better keep an eye on the perimeter to see what they are trying to distract us from. It's not about getting Trump. It's about what they don't want us to notice.

That's exactly why I don't understand the energy being expended to get Trump. It's just fundamentally a bad move to prosecute political opponents; much less a former President. It's the same trap Newt Gingrich fell into when he impeached Bill Clinton. Trump-land is a tire fire at this point and the only thing fueling it is perceived persecution. No idea why his opponents want to keep going after him and keep him relevant.

Where you and I differ is that I think the villain number is at least 70% of the party on both sides at all times. Most people just have an innate need to attribute every possible negative attribute and dumb narrative to their political opponents.
We agree to an extent. And I know you guys hate to hear it, but it's all about the continuums.
Most republicans aren't going to like a democratic president, period.
But they will dislike various democratic presidents differently. The reverse is also true.
You can dislike a president (primarily because of their views on how to best move the country forward) and still respect them as a human and believe they have the best interest of the nation at heart. And that's appropriate, that's how it should be, that's what allows people to work together from a position of respect and shared interests.

it’s because “the middle” disdains him as much as the left and far-left. Trump is Democrats’ best bet as Republican nominee. The “middle” will more likely plug their nose and vote Biden, or third party, or sit out. All wins for Democrats.

Fox News and Republicans, such as Sen. Lindsey Graham, are predicting that this indictment will help Trump at the ballot box. However, they said the same thing about Trump's 1st impeachment in December of 2019. It helped his campaign raise money, but it didn't help his poll numbers or help him with voters in November of 2020.

I think that voters are too locked in on how they feel about Trump, for any minds to be changed at this point, one way or the other. Trump will win the Republican Party nomination in 2024, but once again lose the Presidential General Election. I expect the electoral college map to look very similar to 2020 ... although, Trump might win Georgia and Arizona - but flipping those two states still leaves him short of 270 electoral votes. I think the results from Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and Nevada will remain the same.

Nominating Trump would all but guarantee a democratic win.
But, I would still much prefer to see Trump rejected by the republican party.

So here's what I've learned. If a democrat cheats on his wife it's acceptable because they are screwing higher class women but when republicans cheat on their wives it's punishable criminally because their women are trashy.
