Ugly scenes outside Manhattan courthouse as protesters clash and heckle press while waiting for Trump's arrival for historic 2.15pm arraignment
The fervent anticipation surrounding former President Donald Trump's NYC arraignment today bubbled into full-blown chaos outside the courthouse where he will appear, with protesters clashing and heckling members of the press.
Outside Trump Tower, Democrat protesters clanged cowbells and commanded the former president to 'wake up and smell the justice' while some of his fans declared their love and loyalty.
Trump fan Juliet Germanotta threw herself at an anti-Trump banner and attempted to rip it up. She was met with incredulity from the protesters who'd erected it and a scrappy back-and-forth ensued, during which she yelled: 'I have COVID!'
Fox 5 Reporter Stephanie Bertini was heckled and shouted down as she tried to report live from the scene, while another woman was seen yelling: 'f*** white people!' and a man carrying a sound boom threatened others not to 'f*** with him'.
Disgraced Congressman George Santos made a surprise appearance and was warmly greeted by Germanotta, a well-known Republican protester, while Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene, the firebrand Trump acolyte, was drowned out as she tried to speak by anti-Trump protesters screaming ‘Nazi’ and ‘go back to Georgia b****’.
