Word is out that Smith is methodically going down every line of activity around 2020, including the Powell/ Giuliani legal teams, the fake electors and pressure on state authorities. Remember, this guy has done international criminal work where the standards for conviction are extremely high and they have to build meticulous cases.

People can complain and scream bias all you want. It won't stick. He doesn't do politics, he does convictions.

  • Smith prosecuted and convicted former Democrat vice presidential nominee John Edwards. “By not losing on any of the six felony counts for which he was being tried, John Edwards won the biggest victory of his political and legal life . . . A mistrial on five counts and an acquittal on one resulted in a clear -- if not complete -- legal vindication and a likely fatal setback for federal prosecutors seeking to convict the former U.S. senator and 2004 Democratic vice presidential nominee for allegedly violating the Federal Election Campaign Act.” (U.S. News, June 1, 2012).
  • Smith prosecuted Democrat Bob Menendez on public corruption charges. The case ended in a mistrial. “The way this case started was wrong, the way it was investigated was wrong, the way it was prosecuted was wrong, and the way it was tried was wrong as well,” Menendez said outside the courtroom at the time.” (Washington Examiner, 6/5/23).

I don’t know.

It sounds like it wasn’t really a contested motion, so that may be why they didn’t explain the reasons well enough.

On the one hand, I can see why they would want to keep it secret from the public without it being explained.

On the other hand this needs to be a very public process and I don’t mind if she makes them explain every motion fully in order so people know what is going on.

Are the standards for international convictions more stringent than "beyond a reasonable doubt"?

how so? not really a delay? just a strategy. You request December and it start in mid January. Security Clearances for Trump's Attorney's will take time as well. DIS can accelerate it, but 60 to 90 days is reasonable. Slow turning wheel.
My Guess is that GA will drop an indictment, Washington DC and then NJ.

As I've said before, I've often wondered how Hitler was able to use propaganda to entice so many idiots to follow him.

It's embarrassing--or should be.

As for Trump, there are so many indictments it's hard to keep up with them all.

In the documents tape, he's acting like a 17-year-old---boasting about the fact that he's got a secret/classified national-security document, trying to impress whoever he's talking to--a journalist or staffer. Such an idiot.

It is absolutely true: We have to wonder about the intelligence and mental stability of people who still support Trump. I mean, they are people who have just decided to ditch any ethical, law-abiding or patriotic principles they've ever purported to have.
